Usually Hindi movies are unrealistic! They will show middleclass living in big palaces.. and a life style of Ambanis.. Mostly movies with boy-girl loveall with NRI style living-with poor scripts!
The Movies from South are good as the SCRIPTs are good and strong.They are technically superior. The techicians are good like Santosh Sivan, Maniratnam, PC.Sriram, Thota Dharani- are all admirable and dedicated technicians. Ilayaraj set the trend of Re-recording comparable to West, which we never have seen/heard in hindi movies.
Usually, stories are stolen from Tamil, Malayalam movies and remade in Hindi.As seen in the past, 99% of Govinda and Anil kapoor movies were remade from Stories from South.
This time, it is an exception that the same technical team from Tamil has made the movie in Hindi except that Harris jayaraj has been repalced by AR.Rahman. (Harris Jayaraj gave better quality music than AR.Rahman).
It is a pity that We have an artificial divide amongst us and dont appreciate Movies and Professionals from South!
Ghajini is good, whether it is from Memento or not! Worth Watching, more than once!
The flaws are many like in the climax scence aamir read two big diaries written by him only, the whole story has been narrated to him by jia khan, then he followed the villian and crushed almost 30 bad guys and he has done it in just 15 minutes... what a rubish.
Also in the scene with Asin AAMIR looks very old. OVERALL one time watch that to at the stake of if you want to spread out the violence and the message that helping others can be dangerous and by killing n number of people there could not be any legal action means in India there is no law and order.
Also the songs has been put forcibly.Only Guzarish and Kaise Mujhe songs go with the flow.
Again He has a memory loss then, how initially he came to know kalpana died, and all phone numbers, and too many other people why when he needs only one GHAJNI. How he initially remembered that what happened and now how to plot and plan. how a person with such a disease can make such a plot to search for a murderer which a normal man cant even do?
Also after killing more then 30 people at the climax by the hero, why there was no police action.
Poor show by Aamir. After watching the movie youcan understand why that much of marketing happens this time. Normally Aamir's movie do the speaking by itself but this time he was sure of that he has made an average movie, which is only possible to be hit by marketing.

the flaws are less then one frame of Welcome/OM Shanthi OM and Singh is King, never heard you complaining then ? Too used to mindless fare to recognise a good film when you see one ?

Watched the movie yesterday, Only those who have watched may read further (And those who have not may save this remark for commenting after seeing the movie) :
After Amir's injury and resultant Amnesia, how and from where did he first collected all resources/possessions/ things which enabled him fight back ? B4 you say anything, be reminded that he only gets aggrieved and revengeful after seeing his possessions and never before seeing them. Even if he has a subconscious memory of the injury, how he started with his Revenge even with a single memory which remains for 15min. only.

He got into a hospital after his first injury (else if he was left bleeding on the floor he would have died). In the hospital it would have taken a few weeks to recover and his management team from his large corporation would surely have the resources to link him back to his past life ? including getting two diaries ( among his other posessions) back to him ? And he remembers a dying girls whispering Ghajini in his ear ( shown multiple times in the story). But then if you go looking for flaws hard to see the facts that stare at you in your face.
my gosh.. wass happening to indian movie makers??.. we are going 10 year back.. at least this movie proved that.. and indian audience!!! huh.. and I was saying Rab ne was bad.. this is worse cinema.. absolutely disgusting..

Yeah what happened to Indian audience that they made mindless fare like Singh is King, Welcome and Om Shanthi OM, which had no story and no plausible element at all into hits. But never heard you protesting then, maybe the fact that seeing mindless fare has disabled your ability to see a good movie when you see it is not obvious to you, but it is to the rest.

ohhh screw ur 120$ man..u shud have sense to understand films..all u wanted to see is some bloody skin..then it wud have worth rite..seriously look at the efforts and its goin to be higest grosser in indian cinema..its ok when 1 or 2 % people speaks rubbish out of the 100% fans ..we knw that u dnt have any brains n we forgive u for that..

Watched OmShnathi Om and Singh is king with a bleeding NEck! Cant compare them with Ghajini..!
Watched the movie and i find it a thorough entertainer... One more instance of Amir's ability to get into character both physically and emotionally... Asin looks cute but doesn't get to act much and would like to see more of her...

What would you do if you wife or mother is bashed in the head and killed by a bhai? It is not that farfetched. This happens every day in India. Put yourself in that position and you tend to empathise with the character.
If you do not want to look that way but look at the production values, acting, music - it is still a beautiful film. Asin character was potrayed as a good samaritan and more people should be like her.

yeah right as if OM Shanti Om, Singh is King and Welcome were high brow a grade fare ? At least this has a story, but it is hard for people used to dumb mindless fare to recognise class when they see it
