i can't believe the reviewer and the fans can call this a good movie. the reviewer is obviously on shahrukh's pay roll and the fans are just stupid fans. how can this even be considered a good movie? the storyline is rubbish. only srk is good in it. it makes no sense, as soon as your husband has a makeover, you don't recognise him? are you dumb? it's not like he had plastic surgery! even ghajini was strictly average. best movies of the year were SIK, bachna ae haseeno, dostana and kismat konnection.

Rab Ne
by Sunil Yande on Mar 28, 2009 06:46 PM

This movie was a surprise. I have come to hate SRK over the last few years. I stopped liking him - I believe, after "Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa" which was a great movie. However SRK has really excelled in Rab Ne. His Suri is surprisingly good down to his pants and sneakers. Raja Sen is an unabashed fan of SRK no doubt, however he has barely mentioned Anuksha Sharma who has lit up the screen with her confidence and charm. She is a great find. The movie is truly sweet - well crafted, lighted and photographed. The only weak link I thought was the music - except the theme tune. However, the narrative is strong enough to carry itself. SRK's "Punjab Power Ji" will linger with you for quite some time as do the end credits...

Hyper-Hyped RBNDJ

When SRK made Don, devdas, all repeats of golden ages, everyone admired him on how different he portrayed the lead role. Butwith aamir's Ghajini, it is just entertaining masala. Ghajini is the best film of 2008 and it is already been proved by good collections and it will further be proved by the awards it will win for all categories.

ghajini is no doubt an entertainer but dont compare the two, basically RNBDJ makes a much better sense whatever u claim to be negative points in RNBJD,,,ghajini is totally a masala movie, no doubt entertaining but nothing so special to be admired

Aditya Kannan
Aamir Khan is a better actor
by Aditya Kannan on Jan 17, 2009 04:50 PM  | Hide replies

Aamir Khan is a better actor and superstar than SRK. SRK is gone case. He is a very bad actor. He can never give a performance better than Aamir who is a perfectionist.

I ran out of the theater when the gates were opened for interval.. But I must admit that the beginning was well directed and gripping. but then the audience were treated like fools.. I escaped though!

Good film and a great performance by SRK !
by Rajesh Ray on Dec 29, 2008 04:23 PM

RNBDJ is a very well written script and a well made film (both by Aditya Chopra)...It is a genuinely feel good film and keeps one engrossed throughout. The production is A-grade,and the performances by the heroine, Anushka (in her debut) and Vinay Pathak (as the hero's best friend) are very good. But the one really outstanding feature of the film is the fantastic performance by Shah Rukh Khan, esp. in his role of Surinder Sahni ' Suri'. It is arguably his best acting performance till date and I hope that he wins the Filmfare and other awards for it in 2009. No other contemporary maleactor could have essayed the role of a common , average middle-class man better than SRK has done in this film. He completely wins over the audience and has it rooting for him as the underdog mid-way through the film itself; so natural is his "acting". A genuinely touching family film of enduring quality from the YRF stable; undoubtedly one of the top 5 films of 2009. Rating: 4 / 5 ( ideally should have been about 15 min shorter !)
