Please answer me.....
by Vyankatesh Rege on Dec 22, 2008 06:39 PM  | Hide replies

Just a few questions for people who are claiming that this is simple, innocent and honest love story
1. If you change your hairstyle, remove glasses and moustache, your wife assumes you are someone else?
2. If Surinder Sahani changes his appearance in a day, can he also change his attitude and become a cheap flirt in a blink of an eye?
3. All the while, Raj is acting cool dude in front of Taani and when she rides a bike with him at back, suddenly he needs a lecture in being macho?
4. Do you still want us to cry and/or say "Oh, so sweet" to a dialogue like "Ek ladki chahti hai ke koi use itna pyaar kare jitna kisi ne kisi ko na kiya ho"? Really?
5. If Suri expects Taani to find love slowly in his simplicity, why the whole Raj experiment? What does he want exactly?
6. Taani hates Raj's cheap flirtations and then falls in love exactly due to that? Or was the "Tujhme Rab Dikhta Hai" song a little too magical ?!!
7. What the hell was exactly the purpose of that Sumo wrestling thing?
8. In one scene Taani says she doesnt see Rab in anybody and suddenly at the temple, she realizes that its Suri?
This is not first love story with common man at center stage. Go watch movies like Chhoti si Baat(Amol Palekar)or even the recent "Main meri patni aur woh" (Rajpal Yadav). The emotions in them are honest and you feel something. Otherwise, be honest like a friend of mine who said "If SRK is in the movie, I like anything. Story doesnt matter". Dare to be honest like that at least !!!

deres a simple thing....close ur mind...nd just experinece a trans dat the enigmatic SRK cast on you...film appears beautiful..ders no need to apply logic wen u r watching a purely commercial film....as films are always a larger den lyf projection on canvas...who d hell is interstd in realistic cinemas...featuring amol palekar nd rajpal yaday...atleast i m not...

ok sirji now i want to say that u r being too negative about the film which made u to point out useless type of questions

now seriously i will just put forward the facts, not my view abt any incident, i m not a sentimental guy at all lets talk scientifically n philosophically

nowe u will agree that even in the movies based on real incident too there is always 10-15% fiction part in movies, leave the bollywood movies , aap jaise baal ki khaal nikaal rahe hain, that i can or any one can easily do with some of the excellent english movies also(same for hindi too) , let it be dark knight , the godfather , lagaan, rang de basanti etc. i m not crtising these films at all but just wana say that all have a little fiction in them, n logically one can never digest..but nw u r getting angry i suppose?? simple because main 'kutark' kar raha hoon.... here u say that they do it in hat way that our brains stop working at that time, the thing is u have watched it in a spirit of watching a movie,i stongly oppose the fact that one should keep their brains out of cinema hall while watching the moviE. YAAR ITS A GREAT THOUGHT ALWAYS LOOK FOR THE OPTIMISTIC THING IN EVERYTHING AROUND U ,CRTISING(CONDEMNING) NEVER HELPS THE INDIVIDUAL IN ANY CASE...

n here defination of love becomes sipiritual(somethiong really admirable, a guud definition)

7.suri wanted to tell that he loves her wife n can do any thing for her simple , the only motive was to reaslise taani the presence of her husband whose love she is not understanding, that too plays a key role in mind change(hriday parivartan) of taani
8. she ultimately gets to know that the how much herhusband care for her n love her, n she sees rab in her husband n very well jusatified by very well written n composed perfectly placed song tujhme rab dikhta hai (female version)

actually aapne film poori tarah se aise dekhi ki aapko har haal mein ise naapasand karna hai waise to sabki apni pasand hoti hai but the doubt u had was only due to xterem negative mind setup, i request u always b optimistic, also if u r watchin g the movie iof someone u really dont like too

i m not a fan of SRk at all, but i liked the movie,
i will seek ur reply i think that will be much optimistic waise bhi film is not a topic to do a debate but i hv tried to put only 'facts' not 'my views' before u, so hope a much optimistic reply(or ur vision sir ji :)),
i hope u just think over my pointsd n then u will find them rightly explaining ur questions

4. philosophers say that " its impossible to judge whats their iun mind of kings n heart of women", same science (psycology) says , n this is really a sensitive matter guru , rather that condemning the fact that y a girl had said what actually every girl wants, even if its partially correct or even if wrong(u r not a girl let women decide if statement true or not) u should welcome this thing yaar what is problem, afterall we r independent citizens of independent india lolz

5. its part of story, he wants that the sdame taani who,m he fell in love with, should love him(a dialogue mujhe puraani taani ko maar kar nayi taani bananaa padega)

6. uv r absolutely wrong in saying that taani faals in love with raj she has been never in love with raj , the only one whom she falls in love with is her husband only why??

ans is simple, when in raining night she goes to meet raj she asks, how can u love selflessly , raj says "pyaar pyar k badle thodi kiya jaata hai ,mujhe aap mein rab dikha, mujhe aapse pyaar ho gaya , aapko kisi aur mein rab dikhega aapko us se pyaar ho jaayega simple no lena dena", n then again she says she dont see "rab" in any one, she gets ready to go with sraj only because she thinks that he will keep her laughing smiling all the times n he loves her like nobody , not because of "tujhme rab dikhta hai song"
its due to that thing i love u (i appreciate the creativity of aaditya chopra hats off to him), n here definition of love becomes spiritual(something great)

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi Emerges Biggest Hit Of 2008

Monday 22nd December 2008 15.30 IST

Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi has emerged the biggest hit of the year with excellent business on its second Saturday and extraordinary business on its second Sunday. In fact the business on the second Sunday was on par with its business on its first day of over 7 crore.

The business on Sunday was just 25-30% lower than its extraordinary first Sunday. The business of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is around 15-16 crore over its second weekend taking its ten day total to 56-57 crore. The second week should add another 5-6 crore until Ghajini arrives on Thursday and if Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi can perform well at the boxoffice from thereon then it could touch 80 crore nett business.

i most humbly ask u to see the movie again considering my points u will atleast love the spiurit of the mioovie n i say that this is a total heathy entertainment n must be appriciated
1&2 i agree with ur point
but just for sake of explaiunation i would like to make u remember that SRK says to vinay pathak..."agar wo chahta to taani ji mujhe ek min minute mein pehchaan jaati par unhone aisa kiya nahin pata hai kyun?? upar wale pappe
ki wajah se"...nw in this case y dont u consider it as a part of fiction , if u cant digest it definitely u cant enjoy the sweetness of film neither what film wants to tell..

secondly in psycology"the thing which a person is most afraid of is its public image, if he becomes fearless of the image he can behave as a entierely differnet personality unless and untill he is too possesive about it" their are daily life examples also, which can b seen (i still agree ur point but i say ur point is not strong enough too)

nw onwards all the points u admittede seems hv ariseddue to exrteme negative psycology abt the film(sorry to say)
3.macho part was funny moments of the film taani too say macho is not required for a boyfrnd, but as a male i dont think that anything was wrong with macho lecture at all, better u discuss it with ur friends

Tushar,
Appreciate your effort about almost all the points but honestly I did not go with the negative attitude. In fact, I loved the first 20 mins or so and I even loved SRK's expression when Taani tells him that she has to stay with her husband only. But SORRY, at no point did I feel the divine love. I would have loved to see a story where the simpleton SRK himself wins his wife over. I also would have understood if Taani found Rab in him after she saw him as Suri at the dance show and THEN realized how much he's done for her. But suddenly realizing it at the temple scene is too much because nothing of significance has happened till then. Taking too much cinematic liberty and then showing it all as planned by "Rab" is taking the audience too much for granted. Just take an avg movie like Mohabbatein ,SRK loves a girl who's dead and loves her so badly that she's with him in spirit. This is also cinematic liberty but the conviction of that character makes you believe it. The Suri/Raj characters are themselves so confused that you never empathize with them

Anyways, I cant dare to watch the movie again, Lol !!! I'd pray to "Rab" that you have the the vision to see that there is no effort to understand so called Female psychology, divine love but a cheap tactic from Adi to save money in prodn (compare it to the usual YRF extravaganza -cheap prodn values, just 3 chars that too with new girl, avg music) and recover it on SRK's name. Thanks to guys like you, he's succeded !!!

i really appreciate to ur open minded welcome of the facts which is really least seen in most of the people, my dear, i replied u so long post just because i thought u intelligent, after a very balanced 1st reply, i really dont understand what u r writing in ur second post please make it clear or read myu answers twice, no biasness at all( n replyiong in this lnguge suggests u have n't got anything sadly:( which is not true i suppose), n u r the first person i have met still ho stick in saying movie is a crap but i respect to ur choice no prob at all!!

i still agree that seeing god in her husband in golden temple was odd one because nothing much happened so really see it. but i didnt find it very much odd too because just before there ws sumo fight n she cries whole night(not strong point at all but true boss)but for raj n suri's piont is concerned, i m no more interested in debate on the movie, but if u want then no prob but try to avoid it

Its a nice movie, i just loved it
by krishna kumar on Dec 20, 2008 11:40 PM

SRK once again rocks. I think its one of best performances after DDLJ and Mohabattein. The movie is a little bit slow but the characterization, script and dialogue are truely fabulous. As some have said the movie is boring, slowed down and even SRK should retire, i just want to convey that it is not the movie which slows down but it is our expectation to the movie which demands more before watching it and when our expectations do not match with the movie, we will be busted and its a fact.We cannot expectSRK and Aditya to do the magic again or it would be an injustice to their work, as this is also a new storyline to the industry.Just remember some other movies like Koi Mil Gaya, Golmaal, OSO etc. which also had no logics or even storyline but just clicked.
I would just say Plz watch the movie for once and am sure u would like it if u take it in the real sense

Dont compare it with DDLJ
by Kalpesh Shah on Dec 19, 2008 11:35 AM

I just saw Rab Ne yesterday and I found it very good. I think there are set of people who just want to criticize SRK for the sake of it. Like someone said earlier in the comments, if you see something with Blue glares ON, you will see it Blue and not Red, definitely not white... I think the movie was good.. it brought smile on my face and keep me interested for 3 hrs. I think thats what an audience expects from a good movie.

Ofcourse you can't say it was best movie of the year. You can't say it was a simple love story, such things do not happen with simple people.. It was definately no match for DDLJ. But you can't expect every SRK/Adi movie to be DDLJ, it's unfair on their part. I think it was a typical bollywood movie with some flaws in it. But it was not bad at all.

Go watch with atleast once.. go without any biased mind and you will enjoy the movie.

RNBDJ ROCKS
by tushar sharma on Dec 19, 2008 11:31 AM  | Hide replies

6/5 frm me.
here it goes...Aditya Chopra with an utmost simplicity(of course through an extraordinary lovestory) put forward the point that the LOVE IS DIVINE,love can make u blind but eventually true love is divine.through this film he touches the so called spiritual meaning of love.

Surinder Sahni ji is middle class employee who loves her wife in with a great depth, but he cannot expess his love, Character of surinder sahni is very well crafted and thought by Mr Aditya Chopra, n equally well played by SRK

the love of surinder sahni has depth, passion, purity n maturity as well. As first he believes "HAULE HAULE HO JAAYEGA PYAR" n taani will one love him one day but in the end of story he say that it is only happiness of taani ji all that he wants, this is the beauty of his love(i m not making the story out guys hehe)

story slowly gets ur attention to the fullest, some scenes are very funny n very wel framed, these energises the storyline . there r lots of emotions as well.Even if u r a emotion hating guy u will love the movie, just because ultimatley SPIRIT of the film is GREAT

nw most discussed weak points of the movie

*SRK overacted-
i didnt find the point right , it was character's demand

*it was only SRK show-

well, i m not a SRK fan but i liked his acting in the movie , some of the scenes were classic no doubt, but also in her debute film Anushka Sharma has not left a point to cal her performance weak/average at all. She has done justice with her characte

i hear verma that u r director, thank u for giving us an indirect signal of not watching movies directed by u cos if u say go for RNBDJ then certainly ur movies would be lame.FInally shahrukh has lost it,nowadays wheni c his interviews he seems lost.He tries to be or show that he is very intellectual with big big words but truly it is lame.He talks about secularism by uttering 'muslim' after every sentence and 'insha-allah' after the end of every sentence & TLAKS ABOUT SECULARISM! hypocrite. He thinks hes the best, dunno how long will it take for this star 2 fall down with such arrogance.Aamir aur amitabh se kuch seekh delhi boy!..y doesnt javed akhthar, aamir etc say 'muslim' & 'insha-allah' after every sentence, this shows sharukhs bias attitude.LAst but not the least shahrukh will never b satisfied cos even if he thinks hes 'badshah' hes only temperory entertainment, hes not innovative as aamir is shashrukhs movies r for for those teenage audience especially girls, dumb audience but aamirs movies r for intellectual audience, something to remember.Even after so many months people come up 2 aamir & talk about TAP,but nobody would go to shashrukh, shashrukh is infac jealous cos he knows that even if is more popular thatn aamir,he doesnt have his charisma or quality fan following like aamir has. This fact will b bugging shahrukh for all his life.
