Really?
by Popat Lal on May 01, 2008 04:21 AM

Regionalism? Really? We don't have enough trouble already? It's like asking all NRI's to move back to India. They wouldn't even know what state to go to. Being a Hindustani gives you the right to go anywhere in Hindustan, baaki sab bakwaas. Did we suddenly rid India of poverty and pollution that we only have this left to focus on?

Dear Shri Amitabh ji,

Pls try to understand that we Marathis expect you to show sensitivity to our lanuage. Is it not sad that you cannot speak Marathi even after three decades in Mumbai ? While we welcome all Bharatiyas with open arms and minds, we expect them to become one with us; and way to that oneness is thru Marathi.

Regards.

Dear Vivek. Why is it such a big issue that someone has not learnt a language even after staying in some other state for long. There are many Maharashtrians living here in Bangalore ,and they do not know Kannada. They are contributing to Bangalore and India in their own ways and so is Mr Bachhan for Mumbai. Let us not try to make every one else just like us, if we do that then there is no diversity and no growth. Let people be different the way they are and let us all learn to respect the difference.

Dear Vivek,

you said you welcome all bharatiyas with open arms and mind then why you insist that they should know your language.
It is not becoming one with marathi or malayalam.it is one and only indian.
Susan

Both of them can go drown in the Arabian sea. They will have lots of morons following them there. Atleast this board will be free of those morons.

India - country divided
by Harry Alto on Apr 29, 2008 05:16 PM  | Hide replies

Again and again i feel that India as one single entity cannot exist. Indianness cannot exist and even after 50 years of independence we are either a madrasi or north-indian or bihari or bengali. I hope that there is a state called India and every indian belongs to that state. Earlier indians were made fool by these same politicians on the name of religion. Now they have new trick where they plan to seperate us by our language, state and god knows what else. I appeal to all,its our country, one single entity. There shall be no further bifurcation. Please.....
