these people just cant accept the Blockbuster status of Jodhaa Akbar and have been trying hard to write it off as a Disaster from the pre release days.
These are just Hypocrites.
And all those who believe in them are morons to say the least.
Om Shanti Om: First part of the movie is a lift from 80's hit Karz. Second part Climax is lift from MADHUMATI (Dilip, Vyajayanthimala)
Jodha Akbar: Total bluff passed on as historical fact of Akbar and Jodha. Obviously people were confused whether to treat as entertainment or historical depiction. They decided to stay back and spare themselves from bore love story.

Bull shit, even Mahmood film's were succes like OSO, SRK and Deepika looked almost like Mehmood-Aruna Irani jodi, kya baat hai? Pls dear Kamal, do not over-paint anything too much, it looks silly. You too have become another laughing figure in journalism. Do not guess, Indian films only can be analysed by film analyst alone. Film rating is become too silly, as silly as a film now-a-days.
I think Jodha akbar Was A superhit where as OSO was a Flop If you go by the expences and Collection I don't know hgow you got this information. Asa far as i think Jodha Akbar Was a block buster and OSO was a Flop. Every one has tha right to say any thing they want to.

I think you donno anything about bollywood and boxoffice. 1st clear your knowledge. OSO was the biggest hit of 2007 and Jodha akbar is a BIG FLOP Manish ghar jaa ke so jaa.

who said jodha akbar is a flop...grow up...learn to differtiate between good and bad..u cannot compare a classy movie like jodha akbar with a mindless movie like oso...it is viewers like u whom dont appreciate quality work...give the director their due to make such a historic movie and dare to be different...dont judge a movie with its numbers because the common single screen audience do not know how to judge quality work..they just go and watch a movie with a good star cast..i think we should promote good cinema and encourage new talented directors to amke good movies and not mindless moview like odo
Dear Tarun, I thought you are a good journalist. But after reading what U said it is difficult for me to analyse you first. Forget about a film's success and failure. You are still thinking of OSO's success and Jodha Akbaar's failure? I laughed even when Shoba De termed Kya Kool Hai Hum as a real entertainer. That is wrong with journalist who can't rate a film at all. Mind you one more thing, Sivaji, the Boss which got better ranking in every portals, did not meet with success afterwards. But still critics consider it as a top grosser. In which theate OSO is running and in which theate Jodha is not running now? Can you tell me that first? Thank you so much.

I don't know what you think about this article, but OSO made 168 Crores and is the highest grosser in Indian cinema. Are you one of those Anti-SRK people who have nothing to do but to write nonsense on rediff. Grow Up

no one is anti any actor..we as viewers want to watch good cinema...srk was good in chak de..the movie was good...but when u talk about oso..the term good movie doesnt go with it..the movie did well due to saawariya flopping and srks aggressive marketing plus srk himself who is a brand...and it was a diwali release...good movies need no promotion they speak for themselves...tzp is an example....even though aamir doesnt like awards or believes in them still the movie is winning every award left right and center..that is an example of quality work...and so is jodha akbar..no one apart from aamir and hritik could have palyed akbar...because they believe in perfection....appreciate the energy dedication and effort put in the movie...from the dialogues to the direction and offcourse acting...

OSO IS THE WORST PIECE OF CRAP IN RECENT TIMES. IT WAS SO EMBARASSINGLY JUVENILE THAT THE AUDIENCE FRANKLY DID'NT GIVE A DAMN. EVEN OVERSEAS AUDIENCES WHO TYPICALLY LAP ANYTHING THATS THROWN THEIR WAY GAVE THIS CRAP ER MOVIE A THUMBS DOWN. I EVEN OVERHEARD PEOPLE CONTEMPLATING DEMANDING A REFUND IN LIEU OF THE TORTURE THEY HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED TOO. JODHA AKBAR WAS A CLASS ACT AND SO WAS TZP. BUT OSO WAS ULTRA PATHETIC.FAT LUMP FARAH KHAN SHOULD STICK TO CHOREOGRAPHY. MOVIE MAKING NEVER WAS AND WILL NEVER BE EVERYONE'S CUP OF TEA.
In our country, as we have caste systems and pepole like arjun singh to pramote it we alreday have and will acheive great success in abusing our culture values and above all ineratiey...same is applicable to indian cinema, with avg litreacy rate of 60% ( for youth abt 73%)...the perception and defination of our hindi cinema is diffrent... so we dont know the trend ..like US or europe...here pepole who dont know acting can act (kishan kumar) who dont no direction can direct...similar anology can be brought to films like OSO and jodha akbar ...there can not be a comparison...one is elegance and other is Vada-pav, you deciede what is what...or raja sen is very good at it !...so the problem is there is no unified appraoch for defination thats why we have superstars who act less...perform more...play hockey to win awrads but buy cricket teams to make money..such hypocrats can exist only in our country...anywz point is why OSO has done better ...simple answer is ..."we dont have good taste, same like sadahk par bikne wala basa vadapav taste good then gharka well made"
Hey guys I dont know is it just me or are you guys noticing it too?? Dont you think Rediff sucks in movie department... I cant believe it All Trade Magazines have reported Jodha Akbar to be a Big Hit on its way to become a Super hit Rediff still says its not a Hit.. I though Only Raja Sen Sucks But he has company now and that is Sonia Chopra..Who is this Komal Nahta??No one even knows her..Ok Jodha Akbar has hit 62 Crores in India..The movie was made of 40 Crores..from the director to the producer have claimed that..including marketing which was close to nil remember..there was hardly or no publicity for Jodha Akbar it was gettin unwanted publicity though through controversies..but still 40 Cr film sitting on 62 Cr in India, Hindi circuit still going strong and which has made another 22Crores just from US and UK market...and another 3-4 Crs from other countries other than US AND UK..And still we are not counting the money it made from Telugu and Tamil dubbed versions..thats extra..I cannot understand how this REDIFF people are saying that Jodhaa Akbar is not a hit..Wow..Very interesting.. I guess they are Lobbying for some King..and trying to put anyone who comes even close to him..with all their means..For instance Check the Article headline...Phew..ridiculous..Grow up Rediff..All Readers are not fools

Yes. You are right. Jodha-Akbar is a decent hit. but I think Writer is comparing that with OSO who made 169 Crores.
