WHo said AR Rahaman gives his own music.. whe he started he copied enigma.. u can match all the songs of rojas to enigma.. all r lifted from it.. the gr8 illiyaraja.. burman etc all are copy cats.. now since media is so advanced that we get to know abt the copies..
in 1980's lata and rafi both had accepted that 80% of the indian movie music is copied from other countries
RE:All are copy cats...
by Aditya on Apr 10, 2008 05:47 PM
copying music is age old... usually one tune gives way to another.. even classic compositions have similarities.. but the word is similarities and copy... ar rahman has not copied music.. he may have used eletronic keyboard more extensively in roga which enigma does also ... that doesnt mean the music is copied...
I am glad that an example has been set for the Indian film music industry. Now all the unknown (and unpaid) music assistants, record companies from the middle east and the rest of the world with copyrighted works should also take cue. Either they should get their share of money and acknowledgment or they should simply sue.
