Well its an excellent step towards stopping the act of copying. Till recently ppl used to get caught and punished only for copying in the exams. Now the time has come to stop copycats from copyin music of other genuine Music Directors. I would say even A R Rahman shud sue Anu Malik for copying the Airtel Jingle music. Anu Malik stole and used this music in a song named "Twinkle Twinkle" in Malayalam. A R Rahman knew of this but yet he avoided any legal action against Anu Malik to avoid controversies. Sab ke Sab chor hai. Kissi ko bhi mehnat nahi karneka. All want to make easy money. Lazy fellows.

i agree with u but the prob is these fellows will add anothe instruement and says this is not copied
RE:Good Judgement by Justice Karnik
by amit iyer on Apr 10, 2008 03:00 PM
Just adding an additional instrument doesn't proove that one has not copied. The tune will be same. Any good Music Lover and listener can make out whether the music is copied or original.

A R Rahman is perhaps the master copycat. He would have ended up with eggs on his face if he ever takes anybody to court since he himself nicks most of his tunes from overseas.

Yeah Proove me which music has he copied from whom????? Just tell me the song name that he has copied... I m having all his songs. Will compare that song with the one u say and will tell U whether he has copied or not. And if he is a copycat Y the hell will Hollywood ask him to compose music for their movies????? Hollywood doesnt have the practice of using copycats for their movies.

SRK's Badshah copied the most vital sequences from a late 90's movie called Teen Agent. The shoes for climbing wall, that chewing gum, etc, etc. all copied. May be SRK even watched that movie before goign to shoot and learnt how to act with all those gadgets on and do all his bullshit NRI type mannerims.

Gud one Joydeep. Infact many sequences of Badshah are from Johny Depps movie -Nick Of Time-. In the climax SRKs fall is a lift from Jacki Chan-Chris Tuckers -Rush Hour-

considering the fact that a very small population of the country speaks english leave alone watch hollywood movies, i dont think there is anything wrong in bringing the essence of these english moviues to the hindi audience, strictly speaking it might be copying but then the target audience is completely different and lets face it even the hollywood movies need to be really remade and junta wont understand much if they are relaease as is in India.

Dude will U agree with me that Deva has copied a song composed by Pakistani Band Junoon named "Sayonee" for a tamil movie. Not only Deva but there r many MD's except A R Rahman and Vidyasagar who copy music from West.

one copy like this landed them in soup. Traditionally tons of english songs have been used in Hindi movies. Fortunately for these guys, people abroad are not all that strict about their tunes being reused.
