WHO ATTACKED DEEPAK AND WHERE ARE THEY???
by deepak on May 08, 2008 09:34 PM

WHERE ARE THE HINDU FUNDAMENTALISTS???? STOP SENSATIONALIZING NON NEWS !!!!

I am still waiting for the Hindu fundamentalists that seemed to have made Deepak C nervous. Why do Rediff with its staff writers like Arthur Pais blow up small stories out of proportion??? Why is the Indian media and Indian secular intellectuals vying with each other to appear morally superior and "inventing' Hindu fundamentalists?? is it Deepak's gimmick for publicity to sell more books. Deepak copies Hindu texts and stabs his own people on the back. Shame on Deepak C and his enablers.

People like Deepak chopra are like the opptunistic banias. They run with hare and hunt with hounds. When money is to be made spinning out ornamented words about religion, they do that. When money is to be made riduculing religion, they do that too ! If nobody belived in religions, these people would starve. But what really gets me goat, is when these people pompously project themselves as of high intellect, contemptous of others.

Unacceptable
by Aftab on Apr 29, 2008 11:32 AM  | Hide replies

I am a muslim and I have been taught to respect the teachings and the followers of other religion. It is a big sin if I cross this limit and attack any other religion and therefore ready to accept gladly the lable of fundamentalist as i feel it is my duty to respect their holy book as well as respect their followers.

It has become a fashion to attack religion and get instant popularity. They attack Islam, prophet Muhammad and now they are attacking chiristanity and Hinduism as they anticipate that some of its followers will react angrily.

These fellows with superficial knowledge of religion project themselves as an authority on the religion.

What he has mentioned about christanity may be correct. The original text of bible is no more available and what people are reading today is the man made version. Every christian knows it. Every Hindu knows that Ramayan and Bhagwat Gita and the Upnishads are the creation of human being. They ignore its error even if it conflicts with the latest scientific discoveries. This is because of their deep rooted love and spiritual and emotional attachement with their religion and the scripture.

I welcome those who have crticized the chiristanity and hinduism and the brothers and sisters of all religion to read the latest Testament of God where not even a single word has been changed and which has around 1000 verses on science and till date all scientific discoveries have confirmed what is written in the holy book "Quran" is correct

Dear Aftab, pl search for The Skeptics Annotated Bible. It has category-wise verses like Absurdities, Contradictions, hatred, good-stuff, etc from The Bible (both Old Testament and New Testament), The Quran and The Book of Mormon. Pl read that understand for yourself. As a believer you might not have observed the same or your might not have read The Quran in a language you fully understand.

There are enough people around the wrold who have knowledge about the scriptures of many religions. You cannot fool every one now as information on any subject is available at the click of a mouse!

by deepak on Apr 25, 2008 10:10 PM  | Hide replies

This news names ONE Hindu by the name of Rajan Zed and Deepak is like a martyr??? stop this nonsense !!

Until Rediff put it here I didnt even know that Deepak Chopra is 'under attack' form Hindu 'fundamentalists' name some priest called ZED...This news item is so funny that it starts off with "Hindu activists' but goes on talking about how Christian fundamentalists harassed Deepak Chopra....Clearly Deepak Chopra seeks the publicity in collusion with people from Rediff, so he imagines "Hindu Activists' breathing down his neck.....Strange strange news media...shame on these guys !

some like it hot, others cold, some needs cheerful, colourful, inspiring environment, others sober, calm, aseptic one. some talk, some listen. some are vegetarians, eggarian, meat eaters, eat everything that moves, lives in water and flies. the attitude to life can be described as their religion. there need be no compulsion, missionary zeal to bing another to it's fold. how one lives is their own concern. as long as it does not affect others. having said that , when the attidude of a group people is criticised, it draws reaction. it is a fact and men have to live with that. it should not matter to others whether one worship an idol, a structure, a river, a geogaphical location, a book another individual etc. etc .

Narendra Modi is not corrupt. During his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujrat, the state has made a lot of progress. If he comes to the center, the country would benefit from him.

Its just a new phase of outsider bashing, started and sponsored by vested inetersts, because the society requires a reason to survive, or get patriotic. To give dilinquent elements a reason to vent frustrations after.

How many on this forum going hard against the film have actually seen it??

How many have raised voices against gurus and sadhus working as political agents/sex maniacs/fleecing money from innocent people

How many truly respect the word Guru....if they do then why are so many teachers bashed around by unions of hindu fundamentalist groups...a professor dying recently is a case fresh in memory.

How many people truly agree that other religions' fundamentalist create a ruckus over similar situations so it justifies even hindus doing it. If you think yes then dont you go around shouting against such protests by other religious groups yourselves.

How many hindu fundamentalists actually understand and "practice" hindu religion...i am not talking about going to a temple 3-4 times a year.

How many hindu fundamentalists have actually read the vedas, geeta and upanishads

Think on the above questions and decide if you are entitled to even talk about huinduism let alone fight for it.

Why are all comedies made on Hindu religion? When ever any one says anything about Islam there would be a riot. Because Hindus are nirmally not so sensetive about their religion people take advantage of it and make mockery of Hindu religion. This is wrong. Such kind of things must be opposed.

This is the same chopra who was lecturing to a mainly white audience in USA about Hindus in Gujarat massacring and burning Mulsims in Gujarat. He did not explain the reason of this backlash. Some of these so called experts lecture others and in process run down their own people to gain popularity.
