I remember a hindi movie that came few years back called 'Mohabbatein' with SRK & Big B playing major role.Amitabh is depicted as a Principal of the Gurukul and shown reciting Gayatri Mantra wearing sadles. Many hindu fanatics in India especially the RSS fanatic groups Bajarang Dal & VHP opposed it saying that reciting Gayatri Mantra wearing sandles is against the Hindu sentiments finally compelling the producer to chop off the scene from the movie. No religeon preaches fanaticism but you will fins fantics in each and every religeon

You may be over-stating your arguments. Spirituality is real - NOT an illusion with Sanskrit words injected in it. It is more real that the equity you hold via shares, stocks and your Unit Trust. Hinduism is NOT dead. You do strike me as a very tired man, with some part of you, clearly withering away. Pity.

Hinduism is dead? Who says so ? In another 50 years it is going to be followed by many westerners. Hinduism is a constantly evolving religion with spiritual intellectuals like Vivekanada, Chinmayananda and Ramakrishna Mission. They are not stuck with vedic or middle age ideas any more. You may hear some noise from VHP and bhjrang dal. For Hindu bashers they are a boon. They wont mention Chinmayananda or ramakrishna mission.

what about gujarat riots? even the featoes from the womb was taken on trishul and paraded on the streets..is there any hindu god with out weapon... some hindu gods carry even chopped heads..hidu gods and al qaida are either side of the same coin...

Atleast 50. Out of that 49 times, hindus were on the receiving end. Hence it did not make any news.
I hope this does not sound like an anti muslim tirade, but muslims are to blame too for the communal environment in gujarat.
It is the first time in the history of gujarat that girls are not eve-teased or molested by rowdy muslims. Hindus used to dread it !
It was a law and order situation then and it was a law and order situation now (godhra riots). I do not want to blame Islam which is a great religion.
Earlier, police were not able to go into muslim areas. They enjoyed tax free warehouses. The history is complicated. I have heard the trading community complain about it.
-Muslims also vote according to fatwas Narendra Modi won only because of fatwas as large sections of hindus voted to defeat the fatwas.
Hinduism is all about symbolism. There is a reason why Ganesha rides a mouse and what krishna and radha represent. Does not mean that Hindus are great and others are not. To compare Al_Qaeda and Hindus is strange to say the least. Hindus might be worse than Al-Qaeda, but they are DIFFERENT from al-qaeda.

DC is screwing the westerners and making money. He is wripping them off with all his ancient Hindu knowledge. You should have seen the number of gullible Goras in his shows paying thru their nose for his lecture nonsense.Naturally he will support anything done by westerners. he is using both Hindus and Goras for making money.
These Westerner seem to think it is their freedom to make fun of everything...they did it to Gandhiji...For them everything should be taken as a a ha ha hoo hoo..they dnt have a polite respect for anything including their own parents....!! Islam does not tell people to become terrorists. It is the people who so it. Same with Hindusim. If the carnage in Gujarat is not terrorism, then what is? As far as the new movie, it is just a movie. You can protest against it but it will come and go. It will not be relevant after that. If everything that hurts someones feeling is banned, there wont be anything left. If a large number of muslims are going to be moving to europe, they better get used to the concept of having things they hold dear made fun of or criticized. Otherwise, they cannot survive in the west.

I agree partly to you. And that is why I endorse the protests by hindu groups against the movie. Nobody has a right to make fun of sentiments especially on matters such as religion and therefore I do not support making of cartoons on muslim.

mf hussain is a complete hoax who paints nonsense and idiots pay for it. It is still ok but he repeatedly paints hindu gods and godesses and plays with their sentiments. He deserves to be based and hung naked upside down. I would be curious to see the reaction when he paints mohammed or something. Then you can talk about freedom of expression. Also, what about the danish cartoons of mohammad.

Sesh, Bollywood and Kollywood films have done this for years. That is a serious, upright treatment of Christian and Islamic religious figures but a mocking, villanous treatment of Hindu religious figures. I too am upset by this. One reason may be Hindus do not bother to protest much. Other religions, if rediculed in that way, will protest, burn the public buses and so on. The other reason may be the producers and directors may have no deeper knowledge of Hinduism. They are Hindus only in name. They have regard only for money to be made from movies.
