You say Iraq is not peaceful. Its really sad how blind you are. Iraq had no big religious problems before america attacked Iraq.

Every civilization has had its own share of problems. Don't give statement about which you are not sure. Just read about history and u will know that people have been discriminated in India. For eg: Buddhists and Jains were discriminated during Gupta dynasty. If you want, There are many examples like these which I can give.

It is easy to blame Islam for the poor state of countries like Iraq,Pakistan and Afghanistan. But aif one looks closely, other mUslim countires like Malaysia, UAE are progressive and developed countires. Nepal is the only Hindu country , but there is no peace there also. Again developed and peaceful countries like USA are on the verge of an economic breakdown

Afghanistan, pakistan, Algeria, etc. they are not representative of their own religion. Even in India Muslims do not find it important to have a separate section of women's prayer room in the mosque. Every woman has the right and choice to pray either in mosque or at home, although for men its compulsory to pray at mosque unless there are severe health issues.

If you have seen the Makkah or Madina mosque on TV during Hajj or any other time, you will see how women are just as much a part of it.

But even in India, I rarely find women sections, there are many practices that Indians Muslims, or Pak Muslims or Afghan Muslims follow that are not directed by Islam, but they're followed. Such deeds are called Bidaah (or Bidat in Urdu). Acts of Bidah are prevalent especially in Indian subcontitnent.

each coin has two sides/... I agree with fardeen.. Why look at muslim countries??? Is there any peace in USA... I don't think so... Better look at positive sides than highlighting the negative ones.. Difference lies in attitude!!!

I liked the film. Its too good. I am muslim too. but fortunately never got brainwashed by any sick mulla who acts as if Islaam is his jaagir. I came accross few mild versions of mullahs but I was sensible and strong enough because of my upbringing in India.

Muslims are responsible for their current situation in countries clike UK and USA.
They are being treated differently and we have seen umpteen instances.
Even renowned politicians and film actors have not been spared
The main reason is that, muslims are not adapting to the changes in the society and that is reason they are
always in conflict with other communities. When hinduism, which is considering to be
the first civillisation on this earth, has adapted to the changes, why not Islam?
If muslims continue with this attitude they will always remain in confilict with
ohther communities which is not good for the society as a whole.

I agree...Muslims want to go to the west and then are shocked that the west doesn't share their "values". BTW, Hinduism started of as a way of life...almost a philosophy, which became a religion down the lane. It was never a civilization as stated by you. Also, there's a dispute about Hinduism being the first religion. There's are several schools of thought that say that Judaism and/or Zoroastrianism were the first...

well,u may also watch wats happens if a muslim couple try find a house in a hindu majority apartmnet building in city like Mumbai.

Lets not generalise things at same time dont forget the fact, irrespective of religion in most cases majority imposes their will on other which is wrong.

The fact that this movie could be released in Pakistan without a single cut and a few scenes had to be edited before the Indian censors would let it release in India itself speaks volumes about how pro-muslim the film is.

I have seen the movie...its not pro muslim as you think. The movie proves Islam is quite a flexible religion and not how it is made out to be by a minority of terrorists or as potrayed by the Western world. Its worth a watch. I recommend you to watch it once.

I think we should stop this silly pro-this and pro-that talk. We are a mature grown up nation that belongs to all. We are striving to be a power to be reckoned with. Why not enjoy every bit of our plurality and diversity? Why not enjoy everyone's traditions, festivals and way of life as per our preference? Why not party on Diwali, Eid and Christmas and rejoice that we have such privilege?

Vey well said Tej!!!
I also feel that humanity should come first, rest comes later. The complexities of religious beliefs has resulted in the obscurity of the meaning of the word "Religion". I am a muslim but I have also read Gita, Bible, and other religious books, and I have found that there is a similar pattern. Each one of the talk about humanity but unforunately the people who read these books are more concerned about the ways rather than the purpose. What is the difference between joining hands (in case of Hindus)and Sazda (in case of Muslims)? The answer is nothing at all. Everyone should concentrate on the reason that we are practicing a religion because that is the answer to all our queries!!!

i agree, most things mentioned in the books are symbolic. we need to perceive that which we only will when there is true faith. Take the good aspects preached by all religions and live by that, the world will be a better place. the so called jihadi groups and BJP funadamentalists are not promoting the cause of their religion rather they have ulterior motives, the quest for power over all.
