whats bad wth parineeta ? if u expect some tarantino or a speilberg from Indian movies, then thats ur fault. Parineeta is one of the best movies made in Indian cinema.
The statement that its selection was biased by the Court is right. I believe it has nothing to with Vidhu Vinod Chopra instead it is Amitabh Bachan. This bias is a sequel to the National Awards episode. I dont mind him getting an Oscar either. To add on to that National awards episode, lemme tell that this was the second time he was preferred over others for the coveted award. First it was when Malayalam ace Thilakan was selected for Perunthachan and now recently Mohanlal for Thanmatra. Its time they cut this cute crap!
