btw, aren't there are good movies from regional industries like Malayalam, Bengal, Tamil Nadu, etc.? why can't they be selected instead of these so called great Hindi movies..pure politics
lets get one thing out of the way to begin with, eklavya was a damn boring film...on the other hand parinda is a masterpiece..we all acknowledge that...and about srk's bare stomach, well i dont care much for it either..and none of the films shortlisted this year deseve to go to the oscars anyway...so there

Hopefully after the screening of this movie... rest of the world will realise... have tough we are... we didnt die after watching this crisis ridden painful torturous movie....
Mr. Chopra, get it straight: Eklavya SUCKED! And u talking of a bare stomach? and media talking of it? We are in SHOW BUSINESS, in case u have forgotten that! I spent so much money on buying tickets for Eklavya and NOW I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
It has no backbone, i.e. a story. I had loved Parinda and 1942.. But sorry, Eklavya really really sucked..I hope u know that beautiful frames do not make a good film.
I read about the four contenders: Chak De, Guru, Dharm and Gandhi My Father.. Y r we short listing only Hindi films?? Have our selectors forgotten about Bengali, Tamil and Malayalam films??
