Chilukuri Murty
No comarison with Kishore/Rafi
by Chilukuri Murty on Nov 22, 2007 06:49 PM

Some people tend to compare VOI/Indian Idol/Sa regamapa singers with Kishore Kumar or Md. Rafi. I request all of them, even judges, not to compare anybody with Kishore or Rafi - a great insult to our greatest voice kings.

What if?
by Amandeep Singh on Nov 22, 2007 06:38 PM  | Hide replies

If the final would have between Toshi and Irfan, people would have talked about muslim appeasement.Had it been between Aabhas and Irfan, Rajasthan would have said that it is injustice to it as it is not a rich state. Had there been one muslim finalist, majority Hindus would have voted for the other. If two men are in finals, then there is prejudice towards women.

The combinations and excuses are too many. All these 12 finalists we r seeing have immense talent and good voice - a gift of God. If onething is lacking in one, the other lacks something else. So why take it to reasons like religion, regionalism etc.

I think all voices are good. Nobody knows the number of SMSes the other is getting. Ifthe format of programme is such, let us accept it and go as God gives opportunity to the contestants.

Very true and sensible answer. Why blame the contestants? It's the format which needs to be blamed. The producers of the show and the mobile companies are making crores of rupees in every episode, do u think they are about the quality of the singer and such things. Even the judges Aadesh and Lalit have openly made rude comments about Ishmeet. Again they should be blaming the format and not the poor contestant...it's not his fault. Also hv u ever seen any contest where the vote count has been disclosed even before the voting is over. Does this not tell u all what r the producers of the show after. They just want more people to vote so they get more share of the money. It's all a big business and until the public realises this it won't stop.

Also why r they disclosing the state of the contestant. As if there is already less friction in India and they are creating more. I think someone should file a PIL against them in the court for doing this. They are dividing the nation.

Music is suppose to transcend all barriers and appeal to the soul. They are using the same to divide the people. What an irony !!!

Real Rank of Bemisaal Bara
by Sagar Roy on Nov 22, 2007 06:35 PM  | Hide replies

Top 12 should be

1.Harsheet(best voice as play back and complete singer)
2.Priyani(best female voice and complete singer)
3.Abhas(complete singer)
4.Toshi(most prepare in classical)
5.Sumitra(good voice)
6.Irfan(good voice)
7.Abhilasha(to be improved)
8.Ishmeet(to be improved)
9.Arspreet(typed singer)
10.Prantik(to be improved)
11.Mirande(to be improved)
12.Prantika(to be improved)

I am a bengali but notice my rank about the place of prantik and Prantika.

Punjab people have enough money to send SMS than rest India and this is not fare to allow a person to give more than one vote.
Voting system is absolutely ridiculus as the judges told so many time about Harsheet,Toshi,Abhas and Priyani but people select Ishmeet.

My question is what type of people select Ishmeet. If they have enough knowledge about music they would not select Ishmeet or people of punjub have enough money to make a singer as VOI or the selection procedure is totally wrong and goes against judges.

But we are confused and I am afraid to say that Ishmeet win that crown and we missed few good singers. With this I also forecast that Ishmeet will be behind of Harsheet,Toshi, abhas,Priyani etc.in future play back world.

Correction:Toshi(most prepared in classical)

Ashpreet is a good singer but her voice would not match for all female actors.

How do you know that Toshi is the most prepared in classical singing? Even in semi classical ones, he could not take the lower notes clearly. And when it came to the higher notes, he would sometimes give the impression of yelling.

He has good practice and dedication for singing. But to claim that he is the most prepared for classical is completely wrong.

Rather Abhaas is better prepared than him, but again only in the semi classical genre. First learn what classical singing is all about and then judge others.

And please remove your gender bias. If both Harshit and Priyaani are best voices and complete singers then put both of them at no. 1 and not Harshit at no. 1, just because he is a male.

take it easy
by John Koli on Nov 22, 2007 06:21 PM  | Hide replies

Guys!!! Take it easy, and don't be jealous of Ishmeet's talent. I agree, not everyone has the training to appreciate the quality of Ishmeet's voice, but at least have some faith in the judgement of those who have such training and are sending SMS to give you the gift of the greatest voice ever.
So please stop arguing and accept a rare talent.

Moumita. Did u vote for anyone? I think u would have and that contestant lost. We do understand ur feeling. So the best thing is not to vote. Just enjoy the program and appreciate the good voices.

So Moumita. Who according to you should be the finalists? And how do u gauge a good singer? Just because you sit quite when a singer is singing doesnot make a singer good. There is sur, taal, etc that needs to gel in a song. And 95% of the voters are not musically inclined to vote, but life goes on.

Ishmeet Star Voice of India
by mvk viswanadham nadam on Nov 22, 2007 06:16 PM

He appears to be a good insan, very modest and parents are also very good people. But when it comes to singing he is not that good to become an Indian Champion Voice. Of course, SMSs do everything now-a-days. Even if he is declared as Star VOI, he should concentrate on singing and keep the Award the prestige it deserves.

Voice Of India or Voice of Punjab
by on Nov 22, 2007 06:05 PM  | Hide replies

Hi Everyone
I prefer to call this all reality show as follows
Voice of India = Voice of Punjab
Indian Idiol = Darjeeling Idiol
I agree Ishmeet Singh is good singer but he is not as good to become Voice of India.
In case of Indian Idiol Prashant,he an average singer and not at all deserve to win India Idiol. He is Darjeeling Idiol.

Regards

Ver true. All the real talent leaves due to these faulty SMS's and the not so good ones remain. Reginoalism, Religion, gender bias are all promoted via SMS. Very sad indeed that good singers like Aabhas, Irfan, Toshi, Priyani, Abhilasha and Ashpreet are out and this Ishmeet is there. All farce a total farce. And who checks the SMS counting none of us, so how do we know that really people have send so many SMS's to him.
