Apart from singing, there is another talent that ishmeet has - that is tolerence. Every time he has sung, the judges have gone out of their way to rub it in him that his singing is below average but he is here because of the votes that he is getting. The judges have no write to demeen him in this way. After all the rules of the game is that who ever gets more sms's wins.

Becoz he knows he doesnt deserve and so do the judges know. He has reached this position becoz the whole Punjab voted him and also pujabis outside Punjab have voted him. You listen to the songs of Abhas, Irfan, Toshi, Ashpreet, Priyani and Abhilasha and the next momnet listen to Ishmeet u will find hell lot of difference in the voice quality. Had Ashpreet reached the finals I would have been happy becoz she has geneuine good voice quality but u Punjabis prefer Munda to Kudi no toh kya kar sakte hai.

What is your problem with him winning one of the many singing contests being run on the TV now-a-days?
Tell me even one reality talent show where someone you think was deserving won it? Then why take an exception for just this guy. Just because he is a Sikh and looks different and sings differently than you expect him to sing like?
Do you even know that Kishore Kumar and many other highly regarded singers in Bollywood never had classical training. But still we all still love the songs sung by them.
So it is not really important to have a classical base to be a successful singer. Your singing has to touch hearts and if it can do that, you are a winner.
For sure, if you just go by talent, there are thousands of very good classical trained singers who are versatile enough and more capable than all the Abhaases and Toshis of this world. But none of them has even a bit of the popularity that the other moderately talented singers of hindi movies have.
And interestingly you only attack Ishmeet all through these posts and have no comments about Harshit, who I think also was not the best amongst all the initial contenders. So I really wonder why this bias.
May be he is talented but Aabhas, Irfan, Priyani n Abhilasha are 1000 times more talented than him When they sing a resounding aura gets created all around, which unfortunately doesnt happen when Ishmeet sings Ishmeet came to this position becoz Punjab gave him vote n also punjabis outside punjab have been liberal to him. This SMS system in reality shows are farce becoz we can't judge real talent on the basis of SMS's n moreover who gets to see the counting, the whole system is faulty n something really fishy is going on. Ishmeet may have reached this position becoz of Punjab but the real voice of India for me n Iam sure for countless others will always be Abhas, Priyani, Abhilasha n Irfan They are excellent singers may be they didnt get desired SMS but they've talent n will shine in life Even Lata Mangeshkar, Khayyam, n few other musical genius have lamented this procedure where the real talent leaves n the not so good ones remain out of sheer luck Ive nothing against Ishmeet but this winning for him is not a real win as he doesnt have any good competitors though Harshit is good but Kishore Kumar type of voice are millions in India, the real voices were Abhas, Irfan, Priyani n Abhilasha becoz they've original voice n music runs in their blood. The qawaali episode of VOI simply cant be forgotten where Abhas n Irfan it seemed have bought heavens down with their singing Even judges on the show seem helpless now n hve left evrythng to SMS giving janta who will chose wrong person

Bengalis bias. My dear if that were the case then Prantik and Prantika two of the top 12 finalists wouldn't have left so early. And they were bengali understood. You Punjabis can't handle criticism whether its is related to skewed female ratio, unhealthy dowry system, being biased against women and now criticism in reality shows.

All who are amking comments here and there are do not have even basic knowledge of the Concept.The Organisers of show are not kids that they do not know the procedures to know to decide who is better after taking every thing in consideration. Let the Best Come out of Both Finalists

Mr Vijayan, Ishmeet is a very good singer.. There's no question of punjabi being biased?? Do u remember when Rajnikant was voted ahead of amitabh... come on man , hardly anyone from north voted bcoz we never thought of Rajni as a competition to bachan.. But all southies voted for Rajni again and again bcoz just to prove the impossible..

Absolutely true. This SMS system is a total farce where the real talent leaves and the not so good ones remain. Abhilasha, Irfan, Abhas, Priyani and Toshi are geneuine singers not this IShmeet.

I was expecting Priyani, Abha and Toshi to be the three finalists. But as usual people are not interested in encouraging real talent. They want their own icons to succeed at all cost. Look what happened in other talent shows. A repeat of blunders here too.

Ishmeet has a true voice. Nobody in the show could ever match his voice for a day. Hence his selection.

Yes yes yes Irfan is especially better singer than all of them with a manly voice and stable singing. Even the judges have acknowledged this fact. But this show has become like a political election. You get more more votes you are the adjudged the better singer. How very funny how veru funny. But the point is that these kind of guys dont succeed later. That fellow Debasish won the same while Hema chandra ended third though he has a good voice. Today Debasish is singing for soaps and Hemachandra is singing in films and realasing private albums.

This is mere game of sms and earning of the channel. Nothing to do with talents.
There is no doubt that the participants are working very hard and are under immense pressure, but still i fear that with so many programs related to singing on channels, they will get any recognition for a long time.

Abhas does not know the s of singing. I have heard both Ishmeet and Abhas sing, Abhas' voice is no match for Ishmeet.

SO YOU ARE SAYING THAT YOU UNDERSTAND MUSIC BETTER THAN THE PEOPLE OF INDIA. I DONT EVEN THINK THAT U KNOW WHAT THE WORD "MUSIC" MEANS. SO PLEASE KEEP QUIET.
I think none of both Ishmeet Singh and Harshit are desreving to be winner if we compare them with Toshi. Toshi sings much better then these two he voice is like a professional singer. But Unfortunately these two are more lucky then Toshi.

You are 100% correct. toshi is the right candidate for VOI. He is much better than these two finalist.
