The self proclaimed KING SRK singing a song in an interview given exclusive to all his media friends and reviewers who have made sure that the movie makes money by fooling the people, before and after the release of movie.
"woh haseena woh neelam pari, lagti hai movie mein beti meri, paise public ke mein cheen li hai, meri picture hai sh*t jaise bani,
mein aawara, mein hoon ch*tiya, samjaoo oye, ab mein yeh kis kis ko "
Public boli, sar dard hai yeh tho, theatre se khisko, theatre se khisko
After hearing the song they declared it as the song of the millennium. And now in the next few days they will be playing it in all the FM, News, Music channels.

you can see both.....I have seen Sawariya....Not bad after all....but for couple mof unnecessary songs......it is different approcah for movie making......look for aesthetic brilliance and some amazing song sequences....yes. it is not a great movie....but will like it. See the movie for Ranbir and Sonam....they look terrific...
I havent seen OSO....but will just for the heck of it!! - Gudi

same here buddy !!.. I wasted both my time and money watching OSO. The words SRK and "the cool dude" as shown in the second half does not go together at all... It does not go with his personality. I hope people will agree here with this statement of mine. Pathetic movie - doesn't even deserve to be seen on the DVD - (even the pirated version)

It's a pity that Indian cinema is going back in times and going foolish. It would have been appreciable if a remake of some sensible movie like Anand, Namak Haram, etc would have been. But, dishing out a remake of a Manmohan Desai movie, that too for the modern times is just ridiculous.
Moreover, such a senior actor like SRK is doing such crap, it does not reflect good on him. At a time when senior actors like Aamir Khan who is doing different movies like Taare Zameen Par, I guess it's time for SRK to grow up and do more movies like Swades.
Atleast, copy some good Hollywood movies like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, etc. We felt Indian cinema has grown up after movies like Lakshya, Swades, DCH, Taxi No.9211, etc. But, we are going back to the same old shit now, thanks to directors like Farah Khan.

Mr. kashyap you should refresh your knowledge about movies. OSO is not a remake of Manmohan desai's movie. Your knowledge gives a good impression why you didnt liked the movie. This movie can only be enjoyed if you know indian cinema.

i watched this film and i think its a crap... though its not a manmohan desai's remake...
SRK failed to buy Saisuresh and so he has come out with a honest review. His review is in sync with what many of my friends have told. OSO is a HYPED movie though better than Saawariya in terms of 'entertaining' the teeming masses.

GO AND WATCH SAAWARIYA ,R.SAISURESH......THEN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE OUT PERFECTLY HOW MUCH THE REDIFF AND OTHER CRITICS HAVE UNDERRATED THE MOVIE THANKS TO THEIR POCKETS BEING STUFFED BY SHAHRUKH KHAN!!!!>...BEST OF LUCK....I HOPE YOU LIKE SAAWARIYA COZ IT IS TRULY AN AMAZING FILM.....NOT LIKE MASALA ENTERTAINER CRAP OM SHANTI OM...

you know wat were the flaws in sawariyaa.. there were too many songs in the movie... and that black-blue set and the ending... otherwise... if i talk about the story.. i really liked it a lot...but i wish Slb gave it an happy ending.....

I like brainless entertainers too I loved Munnabhai for instance , but not by SRK generally, he just hams and acts in a single way.
RE:Looks like
by Narasimhan Srinivasan on Nov 13, 2007 01:49 PM
arrey cynic,
what a cynic you have turned out to be.... Munnabhai series is not at all mindless. though those movies also aim at entertaining people, though in a meaningful way and certainly they do not rely on the tried and tested formula. As far as OSO is concerned, it is more than so so.. it is certainly based on film making facets shown in a funny way... it has a formula too, and borrows from a few other movies. So it has to be treated as such and we should not expect it to be a Schindler's List or Mother India etc.
Tell me friends, I openly say that while not being the best ever movie or the most perfect, OSO shows that clean, unabashed entertainers can be made for people to watch with their family members and no one will be embarassed to watch OSO with sisters, mothers daughters and wives and that too without pretending to be intellectual as SLB's Saawariya tried to be and you know the result, it has fallen flat on its face.... I think even when Shahrukh and Farha Khan appealed on TV 'to treat a movie as a movie' that is, not to expect it to launch any sort of movement or revolution...to try mainly to criticise this particular movie by being judgmental is unfair. It is a normal, crass but an eminently watchable, entertaining commercial flick.. thats all.. period.. let us leave it at that.....

well..I havnt watched the movie but after reading people's comments and OSO's marketting strategy it doesnt appeal me much....I cnt comment on wht movie would be like coz I blive I shud decide for myself..but the way OSO has marketed itself I dont think its worth my hard earned money..Movies shouldn't be marketted liked dis..this hype and everythng..why r the makers forcing ppl to watch it..and I do agree vth the fact the critics are biased coz from promos I can c Deepika and srk's chemistry is just not thee and age diff can be seen..but no one commented on that..apart from this reviewer..wen I can c it in promos y cnt they c it in movie..dunno..may be I am wrong..but I think I ll watch this one on DVD or sumthg may be..
Lets congratulate Saisuresh Sivaswamy if these are his honest reviews. It may also be desperate attempt by rediff to redeem themselves after they saw that everyone(90% of viewers)have disliked the movie. But i would still believe that these are his honest reviews and he should throw a copy of this on the face of people like Raja Sen & Sukanya who are on montly payroll of Chopra's & Khans..
I think this review is really trash. The reviewer is confused with his expectation. When you are going to watch this movie you know that this is not a intellectual work but a tattally "MASALA ENTERTAINER". I just saw the movie last night and I really laughed and enjoyed. Dont go for it if you want to see a "Pyasa" or a "Black". Like one of it's dialouge this is not a Satayajit Ray, Bimal Da or Guru Datt movie but this is a Manmohan Desai kind of film. It does'nt mean that they are not the great directors, of course they are (who am I to deny that) but OSO is just another kind of movie. That's it.

by vins on Nov 13, 2007 09:57 AM
Hardesh, i dont understand what made u laugh in the movie.. I also saw the movie and there was only one dialogue which made me laugh ..Rascalaaa... Thats it.. If u want to really see an entertainer on re-incarnation i advise u to see once again Karz and Madhumati or to some extent Rajesh Khanna's Kudrat & Mehbooba. Shah Rukh Khan in a movie doesn't imply that it has to be watchable..Why Shah Rukh khan is vigorously promoting this movie is because its his home production.. And he knows that the product is sub-standard and he should recover as much before word of mouth overpowers media hypes.

arrey yaar vins,
if you say that there was nothing to make you laugh or get entertained in OSO, I must say that there is something seriously wrong with you for you are completely devoid of any sense of humour. You see by continuously referring to Karz, Kudrat or Madhumati, you just cannot treat OSO independently and you keep comparing it to classics like those movies. Did SRK or Farha Khan claim that OSO will be better or greater than those movies... ever? As I said in a previous post, this movie endears.. mind it... it definitely will make SRK more likeable and loveable with his fans more so than ever before, because he has come out as a maker of very claim, normal commercial and light hearted films with the purpose of giving whole-hearted entertainment to families who can see such movies sitting together and without getting embarassed in the least... why can't you see and accept such simple things rather go on and on trashing this movie, when all it has is entertainment and nothing else? Don't you even know how to get entertained? Well I have a suggestion... in a shanty near Kandivli, AB's Laawaris is running.. go watch Mere Angney mein...

Dude.... I watch the movie twice.... and i would say that the movie had some funny sequences...be it rascalla or award function or manoj kumar driving licence or filmi maa.... TRY TO APPRECIATE THE EFFORT PPL. dont just hate SRK for the sake of it. now a days its becoming a style to hate SRK and Sachin..... :) ..so chillax
Aajtak, Headlines today and many such channels were trying hard to market OSO and at the same time they were trying to downplay Saawariya.. They questioned the logic of 'Saawariya' but the same guys were seen singing glory for 'OSO' , story of which is also unbelievable and did'nt have any logic in it. If Entertainment means not to have logic, then Saawariya is also a good Entertainer, why these people were making a distinction and trying hard to fail Saawariya in Box Office. The same is the case with reviewers like Raja sen, they were paid by Farah khan and Shahrukh to sing undeserved praises on OSO and to criticize Saawariya negatively so that it result in a Flop , so that OSO can become a hit.
Kitch Kitch Hota Hai. Om Sardard Om (OSO) Jhoot bolke Award Le Jayenge (DDLJ) Aamir Ka Dil to Hit Hai (Dil To Pagal Hai) Main Hu Kaun (Don) Main Copycat Hu Na (Main Hu Na) Kal Hu Na Hu (KNNH) Swad Ishh (Swades) Hockey Stick mere pichhe Ghusa Di India (CDI) Haklate Haklate (Chalte Chalte) Acting Ka Mauka De Zaara (Veer Zaara) Phir Bhi Acting Nehi Sikhi Hindustani (PBDHH) Sunny Ka Darr (Darr) etc...etc...

Acting does not mean to make body....and go behind girls....I agree that there were good actors in Hindi....like Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar...and so on..but Sharuk is not at all an actor...have u seen Sharuk crying...its like hell...
I agree that Rajni is not a good actor...but Mohanlal knows what acting is....Rajni is a very nice person...so pls dont comapre idiotic Sahruk with both....
RE:SRK movies
by Narasimhan Srinivasan on Nov 13, 2007 01:59 PM
devanathan,
ignore that idiot Sandeep Sinha.... but you are wrong to say that Rajini is not a good actor.. he has indeed acted well in a lot of movies, but put together, they are the minority of movies that he has done in which he has acted wonderfully... but that is the tragedy of any actor doing commercial cinema. My favourite is always Naseer (also Paresh and Om), but their own quantum of good movies or performances seems to go down in standards when they step into commercial cinema. If you personally ask me, the last SRK really acted well in any movie was Baazigar... after that he became repetitive, and before Baazigar he hammed as he did in Chamatkar. By the way, Mohanlal also does heroic and commercial stuff in Malayalam cinema, which is similar to what Rajini or Vijay do in Tamil cinema.
