Desi parents love to hog the limelight even if they aren't directly involved in the competitions/Tele Shows. It reeks of sheer desperation to be Famous.

when she meant story she dint mean this article..she meant the story of a brown skinned fella capturing the imagination of a tv audience where appreciation for anything outside the comfort zone is rather limited.

what indian culture she is talking about, shayamalis nude pic was published by a magazine sometime back, i don think thats indian culture,
her mom herself was involved in a marijuana case sometime back i guess. His dad came to US for hare rama hare krishna, and got married to an italian women here, wow, and now divorced, is that indian culture

I dont know about your brand of indian culture but Marijuana is still in use for spiritual purposes in many shiva temples around India. It's known as a gift from shiva.

hey man, i am the stupid ass huh ,, ever heard bhang, or why dont you visit bengal during Kali puja. Or why dont you ask a sadhu, sanayasi whether they use cannabis or not. do you know there is a particular strain in cannabis called Shiva it supposedly a gift from shiva to men.
