suggest some books which indicates Rajnikant is the biggest international superstar. I respect Rajnikant as the biggest star in TN, but definitely nothing else, remaining is just hype

Though Rajni has given good performance in all of his films, I like his don character in the film BILLA. He is simply great in that character.

Why you are calling Rajini as a Class actor??
by Amen Here on May 21, 2007 10:17 AM  | Hide replies

Why you are calling Rajini as a Class actor?? In what sense ??? Has he got any National Awards??? That itself says that he is not a talented person. Now look at Kamal, he got National award 4 time. Is it Logical to compare Rajini and Kamal.

hi dinesh kumar, five films of rajni are too many to watch and digest. i stopped watching after four.they were that horrible-baba,arunachalam,uzhaippali and padayappa. padayappa was a little better because it had the talented ramya krishnana's performance. he acts silly, has garish outfits and make-up and looks thouroughly stupid romancing his grand duaghters at his age.can u imagine-he and son-in-law have the same heroine-shreya.i pity the poor girl.

Amen, we are not comparing Rajini and Kamal. Both command a terrific fan following in TN. Comparing them is left to their die-hard fanatics who clash among themselves and indulge in hero worship. What we are trying to say is that Rajini has done quite a few classy roles. I can list at least 10 such good characters he has played in late 70's and 80's, like NETRIKKANN(Third Eye), Aarilirundhu arubadhu varai(means 'From 6 to 60'), Mullum Malarum(The Thorn and the Flower), Avargal(Them)..etc. He has not received any major awards like Kamal but if he is given an opportunity, he is capable of giving another stupendous performance.

Im a big fan of Kamal(Rajini's professional arch Rival and a very close buddy) but I wouldnt compare them. They are the two big pillars of Tamil Cinema, who can never be parallelled.
