I don't understand some people.. If Shilpa or anyone kisses in the movie or get stripped (upto any length) all these people enjoy it and think whatever s*HiT they want; but they react so insanly on such a small issue like this. And as Mr. Gupta said "it is a harmless kiss". No one pays more stress on the campaign on which they were working, whichever website i read this same thing is going on. People pay more attention to controversies (which they create) instead of Problems that they/we face in modern India.

INDIA, please OPEN UP...please come out of the narrow mindness. There are more issues to fight against. This is not at all a big issue that somebody kissed somebody on CHEEKS. These are just media stunts. I will not blame people for going against this because they are led in such a way. I have watched the clipping on TV channels and I am sure, that none of the channel would have aired this clipping less than 200 times. What is this ?? Its the media who is filling dirty thoughts among the people. 24 hours TV channels are to be blamed.

People are just mad who follow these things. Let Shilpa do whatever she wants to and even she was not at all responsible for it. It was Gere who did this act and who is ready to apologise. What else they want to do.

Have you raised any issues when Rani gave kiss to AB & Saif. There is any hue and cry on Ash/RRoshan. Couple of weeks before I was watching one news channel in which they intervied the guy who was agitating against AMIN KHAN (who as reported, in a row of divorcing his wife RAO), that he is not respecting woman and how can he divorce like that. Its a height of anything. Its their life, they have all the right to do whatever suits them. Who is this guy to comment on it ?? These media people should have gone back to that guy's house, and should check how he treats woman.

It will be a appeal to everybody that please come out of the small silly issues and think of something constructive. Illeteracy, Corruption etc...etc...

Mr Khan did you protest when in your community a father in law raped his daughter in law ????
The Muslim clerics ordained that the daughter in law could thereafter no longer live with her husband.
That really was an issue worth protesting about but you must have kept silent because it was not shown on TV. Come on Mr Khan protest on more relevant issues.

Wishful thinking on your part Sir and shows your mind at work ! Confine youself to what transpired without letting your imagination run wild.In your community it is not acceptable which is OK , we are more tolerant and open and request you to not imagine but to open your mind to all issues and move forwards. The kiss is but a small issue and harmless learn to look at larger issues my friend. God be with you.

The issue is small, thats why we are pleading not to make it big. And thee people are not mindless to act to that level. Its just your dirty mind, which thinks like that.

If instead of Shilpa its your sister than you will not answer like this. Or do you tolerate kissing your sister infront of people and in a program which is being shown live in T.V.

So let me get this straight. You have pure feelings for Shilpa and were therefore outraged by her seemingly immoral behaviour. Right? Sir you redefine hypocrisy.

better to see a kiss than to see and hear news of bride burning and rapes and other crimes. Please do not bring sisters as she is not yours either. It is now becoming a vogue to get media attention and suddenly everybody rakes up issues.

Artek, if your sister is born in the US or the western world, she would kiss in public. What is the harm in that? Indians are backward and mean-minded, that is why they are always 100 years behind every other country.

she does not wish to meet you or have anything to do with you as you are only interested in a kiss and that shows what is inside your brain as well.

And even if she is doing it for money and fame, what is wrong with it? This sort of crab mentality is what ails losers like you. Na khud kuchh karenge, na kssi ko kuchh karne denge. Whiner baby.

a non issue and waste of the Courts Time !
by Ashok Gupta on May 14, 2007 12:42 PM  | Hide replies

There are crores of cases pending in the courts and now a harmless kiss has to be referred to the Supreme Court ! The guardians of morality would rather do well to protest against the dowry deaths and other more important issues.
The actress has not complained and the ransacking of the Vadodra Arts College is shameful. This is nothing but "Talibisation"
and must be stopped.Instead Catch the animal poachers like Nawab Of Pataudi and Salman Khan and fight for stopping of polluting the Ganga and other rivers and de-forestation.

Yes and no Mr Gupta. A defining judgement in a shoddy case like this will act as a deterrant to future moral policing. In any case, Shilpa should definitely try and not get arrested, don't you think?

Agree that she must safeguard herself from stupidity and is fored to go to the courts. But what an issue. The courts should simply lock up the petitioners for wasting the courts time over a non issue.

Well said. These people just want limelight for few min thats all. I hope Supreme Court puts a heavy penalty on these people who waste such precious time of the court. It will serve as deterant who want to act as moral police
