A Spartan king with Scottish accent..Enemies line up to be chopped and slashed and in between all that carnage and the computer generated back drop,you cant help but yawn once the shouting and slashing gets repetitive.Style is never a replacement for content.Raja was kind enough to give it a 2.5,I'd rate it 1 out of 5

Dude. donot get in accent details. I have read Spartans were actually of this types. This movie has established new standards of movie making and story telling. Grow Up!
Neither theres some story nor sense in the movie... graphics, visual effects are good... dont understand how this movies become a super hit in US... here in california theaters run 10-12 shows of '300'/day...

in today's world of selfishness its a great thing to see 300 people ready to die for there country and principles. Hats off for them
THE MOVIE IS GR8.. there r people like giantgrulz u haven't come past matrix n stuff.. A NEW AGE HAS BEGUN AND ALL SHUD KNOW THAT 300 IS THE BEST MOVIE..no comparisons shud be made
not bad- for this review by Raja Sen, but here comes the interesting part, he rated the movie a mere "not bad", i personally would rate it more than 8/10 at least if not more. This would suffice the satifaction the movie gives to all who dare watch it, superbly awesome.

Exactly.... hahahaha.. how can he say that Yankees. Man people are shit and they dont know what are they talking about. Go and watch the movie again and then directly go to your english proffesor.
Every now and then there comes a movie that has shades inherited from some humble others.
300 is an impressive story of maliness, committment to one's motherland and faith in oneself. Leonidas manages to impress with his leadership skills and his mighty voice whereas Xerxces seems to be unmoved and treats him like just another warlord. Indeed, Xerxces has a point and the might is right in its place.
Personally, i liked Xerxces more for his voice and his stability in thought. He comes across as composed and confident. Leonidas whereas, seems to be a growling tiger who would do anything to save his motherland. The flaring madness. Somewhere, the entire concept of the worlf and the boy is contradicted.
With inspiration in visual effects from Lord of the Rings and the Greek backdrop from Gladiator, the movie manages to impress. Wonderfully done colors and cotrasts will keep you excited.
Go watch it at once and u will get a break from other movies running over the weekend.

I agree to quite an extent for Leonaids's personality. He got 300 best men of Sparta chopped! He could have rather assembeled a whole army and give Xerxes run for money, alas history would have been different. Gladiator was however not based on Greek back drop, its Roman! :) i must admit even after 2 months of watching this movie i cannot get it off my mind.
