bottom line is Rajini is entertaining. Period. People like to watch his movies. Rajini is no better or no worse than Bollywood crap. If you dont like to watch...that is your taste that does not mean that others are nuts. Just learn to respect others' opinions.

don't think anyone has the potential to even touch rajni when it comes to showmanship, not even subhash ghai, so amitabh (north superstar) has a lot of lessons to learn from the superstar of the south

Mr Joshi, I can understand your jeleous and frustration to accept a regional language film industry (Kollywood) to be the best in India. But that is the fact!Kollywood and Tollywood (Telugu Film Industry) which represent one state each has audience throughout the world. Compare it with Bollywood representing all of India(Excluding 3 states)where everything is crap but for 2/3 movies an year. Think smart and wise! Rajnikanth is the SUPER STAR. His screen presence is what everything is!

there is really no corelation between who is born where and where they are worshipped.For that matter 'Shivaji' is getting release in 16 theatres in Chennai where as dubbed version is releasing in 40 theatres in Hyderabad.
i agree that Rajni is true social worker. Amitab Bachan is professionally film star, personaly a selfish man. but rajnikant is Tamilian now not marathi.its tamil people who loves him not marathi.the marathis they fight among them self.thats y they dont even have their good marathi movies.they have forgot their cultures

Linguistic fanatacism prevails in two states-Karnataka and Maharashtra.In Karnataka, they do not want either Tamil or Telugu films released simultaneously on the first day. They are wasting their and others time.

Rajnikant is a Tamilan now...not Marathi....OK,Tamil people love him...OK,not marathi...not OK,Marathi they fight among them self...not OK (Horrible English), they dont have good Marathi Movies....not Ok,they have forgotton their culture...you are talking from the other end of your spine.
Guys, i always wonder whenever there is an article over rediff on rajnikanth or amitabh bachan, why do we fight over our regional divide???, i am a maharastrian but i like both rajnikanth and bacchan. Rajnikanth is a megastar and has fans following as far as japan and the hawaii islands, i think that is immense, if rajni lits his cigarettes by throwing them in air and shooting by his gun then it is the way the people want to see him and he does just that. he has amazing people skills and touches life of common tamilian.
Where as Mr bacchan is an entity in his own. he carries the identity of indian cinema over his shoulders internationally. he too is an amazing actor, can act in different roles and hAS done justice to almost all of them. You cannot compare him to anyone.
Finally both rajni and amithabh bacchan have done india proud and we are proud that we have grown up watching these amazing actors.
Guys let us forget our regional divide and appreciate each others culture, finally its our country...isnt it???

Dear Pargaonkar Thank u very much. I feel releived after reading your meesage. There is some one who thinks as a being Indian. Why we don't live together as a indian.We Indian first then afterward my region come.Some how Politician has to blame for this kind of differences where we people start comparing. Now a days Media has started compare Shahrukh and Amitabh Bacchan. Waht a rubbish ? God please give some mind to talk healthy to all idiots.

Rajinikanth's wife name is Latha. They have 2 daughters: Aishwarya and Soundarya
Aishwarya is married to Danush (popular actor in Tamil). They have a 6 month old son, Yathra. Soundharya I guess, she is into Graphic designing and directing a movie based on Rajini

I can't understand a single word of Tamil. so it's difficult to until i have a english subtitile. So wait till it release on National DD Channel with English Sub- titiles.
