Dear hirak raul.......where r u by the way??? just came out of 30 years of underground??? Rajnikanth is very good and probably most famous Tamil actor.One of the highest paid acotor in India along with Chiranjeevi along with other Hindi acotrs.

he is a marathi ...born in maharashtra...his parents are also marathis..his real name is Shivaji Gaekwad....he worked as a Bus conductor in Bangalore...and then he became an actor in Tamil....a true example of a North Indian being a South Indian star...also he married a south india lady becoz there was no way he cud find a fair marathi lady
Rajni is a nice chap...but he and the other south Indian Actors have this Air of superiority...They Behave Like royal Kings...That too in this Age of Globalisation...Some Section of their fans are ignornant enough to hold them as GOD which is pathetic..Cause these are just Human Beings...And these Actors instead of stopping Just enjoy the limelight and so called Godly Status...!! They should stop such practices and strongly condemn those fans who do so!! When will they Grow up and behave in a globaly manner....!!
Sivaji is coming on Friday, but not without company and the one giving Sivaji company is no spring chicken. But we are just getting the feeling that %u2018The Boss%u2019 might well make it look like a spring chicken. Sivaji has competition at the box office! We know that the statement sounds a bit out of place but then without some yardstick against which to measure we really cannot sum up how big Sivaji is. After all we are more overawed by a mountain when we see how big it is compared to a molehill. (no disrespect intended).
How huge is Sivaji? We will give you an idea and you will understand that we will have to coin new words like %u2018Rajnikanthic%u2019 and %u2018Superstarial%u2019 (try making better ones yourself) to describe the actual proportions that Sivaji is taking as the clock counts down to the grand opening.
First, let us give you an idea of how big the competition to Sivaji is and how relatively small it is in the face of Superstar. Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom might be a film from Bollywood but it is a big draw even in the south, especially in Chennai multiplexes. With stars like Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol, Preity Zinta and above all the Big B in a never before seen avatar, Jhoom Baraabar is one of the most expected films of the year. Also don%u2019t forget that the film is from the Yashraj factory which is the best in the business when it comes to marketing films and hyping them.

AVM Studios, producers of Rajinikanth-starrer "Sivaji" have made arrangements to print 600 copies of the film for release all over the world. Of them, 350 are for Tamil Nadu, 150 for Andhra Pradesh, 75 for Kerala and 25 for Karnataka. The remaining 100 prints are for release overseas, it is learnt.
This number is unprecedented in the history of Tamil cinema. Directed by Shankar, the film featuring Shreya opposite Rajinikanth is set for release on June 15. "Sivaji" will be releasing in as many as 16 theatres in Chennai itself. They include Abirami Complex (three screens); Sathyam Cinema (two screens); with five shows every day Mayajaal will be showing the film in five screens.
According to Abirami Ramanathan, who has bought the Chennai distribution rights, talks are under way with INOX and other theatres in Chennai.
The film is releasing in a record number of theatres because the cost of production of the film has run into several crores and the producers' strategic move will enable them to recover the cost as quickly as possible, it is said.
Guys they are all making it such a big deal, ultimately the common people don't get anything out of this, they go watch the movie and spend maybe like 100 bucks.
Rajni would have already more than a million now as remuneration, and all the people related to the movie will get their share once the movie is released, Rediff gets a lot of publicity and more hits so they are happy.
Ultimately we people are the suckers, we r still in the same level, infact we might have spent more than 200rs. and would have stood in long queues to get tickets and maybe even had an argument with the guy in the cinema who would have been yelling in your next seat.
So, I still don't understand why we hype all these people so much, make them gods and treat ourselves like shit.

Mr. tripathi,
if you have read my message clearly, when I meant rajni I meant all these celebrities, inlcuding north or south.
So I don't know how you concluded that I hated south Indians or North Indians in particular.
My message was that there are so many other important things in our life to do, so think about those important issues than about whether Rajni went to temple or whether amitabh shaved his french beard or tendulakar went and ate a pani puri.
So, again please understand the message before replying.

Hey Jyothi Everything is not about money, may be film making is but all these messages are simply raw emotions which has nothing to do with money. India is a democratic country and everyone is entitled to express their views but India is known for her culture too. Can we say that India is a cultured country after seeing these hate messages. I dont think Rajnikanth would like division among north and south India. I guess he loves whole India not only Tamilnadu (karmbhhomi) or Maharashtra (Janmbhoomi). The fact that a Maharashtrian is so much loved in Tamilnadu in iteself portrays the inherent nature of tamil people. Why hate

hello....rajni's janmbhoomi is not maharashtra,its karnataka,he was born in a village near bangalore and he has spent his first 25-30 years in bangalore.
I have no doubt that each of us want to see India prosperous. To make India a developed self sufficient country we need to united on all fronts. Rajni is great, Sivaji is going to be a blockbuster. Amitabh is a versatile actor and he has entertained us since so long. It is amazing to see regional movies doing such a huge business despite their limited viewership. its all good for the country except hate messages. Please love each other United India
