I hated him for his PR work of his candidate at SaReGaMa. I am forgetting his candidate's name. Himesh tried puplicity stunt that his candidate is in love. That's why he is singing so good etc. I hated him to have Hemachandra eliminated whom I still consider one of the finds of the program.
Hving said that one cannot discount his efforts in bringing SUFI style singing. I know it is not mainstream but it is something new. Of course, he is little bit of arrogant but I think that's his style which comes out as a negative. He has a nasal voice so what Kavita Krishnamoorthy also has it. Difference is that after sometime you cannot tolerate KK but Himesh is trying variety within SUFI style. Unfortunate part of Indian cinema is that one gets branded and it is very difficult to come out of that branding.
i too agree, indeed he is a great singer and good composer but one thing is lacking in him is his arrogant nature towards everyone if that is controled he is undoubtedly one of the best music directors and one of the good singers of our industry hope himesh anna you will think about this since my two sons sistla srikar and sistla madhukar of DAV Public School are dying fans of yours please for my sons sake if not for gods sake try to control your arrogant nature so that you will become hero of my whole family good luck.
Himesh...he started his first noticiable act in the DD daily Soap opera "Vaqt Ki Raftar", I think he was a assistant producer. From then it was a whooping success that some says owes to Media. Whatever be the case but I know this man has raised from scratch and rose to heights. Well, really test will be when he maintains his style and continue his performance. I know that he is bit arrogant too. He has to change a bit to rise like this....but till now...Himesh u r rocking everywhere despite the fact that I dont consider you as a great ACTOR......
My daughter Eshita is his youngest fan, she's 2 1/2 yrs old and started listening her songs when she was just 6 months old. I dnt like his repetitive kind of music but kya karein beti ko pasand hai to ghar mein sunana padta hai...Kutch to baat hai bandein mein...

right deepak my son also biggest fan of himesh and he listening from last two year lekin yaar bandein mein to baat hi nahi bahut kuch hai song, music,hero and more whatever
Hi, I never seen any of one his movie. One day I saw his interview(i think in NDTV). Really, I started to gave respect to him because of his kindness/ great respect with the elders.So he is a proud citizen to INDIA.
Even i am also a proud INDIAN but i don't know once i cross the border(earn more money/Maslow's fourth LAW) what I will be. Take example of Sachin itself. He is a good player. But because of sudden turn(change-->selfishness) in his life he started to play for money and self-esteem only but not for the country. As a IT employee i know how the surrounding people are acting.
For all my one small sugession is:-
Whatever you may be don't forget your basics from where did you come.
Because of the above reason I give great respect to Himesh Bhai.
