the main issue is himesh reshmia does not look at himself in the mirror or may be he lacks the capability of analyzing his own personality. and definitely he does not listen to his own music. even if he listens to, the stupid fellow thinks his shouting at the top of his voice, the way donkeys scream, having zero melody, is coming up from the hell which is heaven to him.

He is working hard and making money..who cares whether he is a nasal singer or not..after all we(public)have made him popular..
His arrogance on Sa Re Ga Ma is very annoying. Shows how ill-mannered he is. He tries to show the world he respects elders. But when he insults the contestants of Sa Re Ga Ma and the other fellow judges, it shows how illiterate and ill-mannered he is. He should be boycotted.

Ya, he shouts, so wat even other music composers and singers do shout at talent shows. If u will unecessary create a mock kinda attitude of anybody's creativity. Person will be angry. Ya he shouts because the contestants are helpless creatures. They are at the mercy of judges so they cannot reply back. That is why he takes advantage of the contestants and shouts at them. Shouting at someone because they are helpless? What do you call that?

Dats wat i am telling dear....tell me one incident where he insulted any contestant. For the improvements in the contestant, composer will shout at times.Its our own way of analysing things.

yes she used to stay in the building where my grandmother stays. they are the present landlords of the building and i attended their wedding when himesh was just a lost face in the film and televison world.
I rue the day Rehman had a hit in the movie 'Bombay'. It was the end of an era of lilting musi. Nadeem-Shravan, Jatin Lalit etc. just vanished overnight. So it was the end of the road for soft music like 'Qayamat se Qayamat Tak', 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar', Aashiqui. Out came ugly products like 'Mangta hai kya' from Rangeela. Everyone wanted Rehman. Rang De Basanti has music which is very clinical. 'Yuva', 'Pukar', 'Guru'......infact all the music that he has done were mere flavors of the season. It would be a surprise if even the most die-hard fans of his listen to these numbers of his. How many of you still listen to cassettes of 'Lagaan'? The man doest understand the soul of Hindi music, which lies in the beautiful Urdu Shairi.
His notes and beats just suppress the lyrics. He is just a factory of senseless beats, a highly overhyped one.
The reason behind Himesh's success is just one thing. He sings from the soul. And his music has brought Lyrics, which had so far been suppressed since 1995, when Bombay was released back into play. While the fact exists that he isnt a great singer, but then you can feel his words (Another parallel of not a great voice but soulful singing is Jagjit Singh........only his music is much different)
If you just turn off the music and listen to the lyrics, you can actually hear good Urdu poetry. If this is a turn in tide, It's desperately needed so that the present generation knows that Hindi is a better language than what they speak now.

Not a great Singer I said buddy!! No I dont listen to Jhalak Dikhla jaa. But I do listen to QSQT & JJWS still.....the music Rehman killed. But I can see a lot of heartburn for the Rehman thing. Any of you guys name a few of his songs you still listen to ? I only said "ANYTHING betterthan him" for a change.

Don't compare Himesh with AR Rahman!! He is very genious.. From Rangeela to Rangde basanti... From Roja to Sivaji.... He still rules... That is the reason intelligent people like Aamir khan never leave him from Lagaan film...He knows the value of rahman...

ok let's reason out why your logic totally flawed. first music doesn't know language. music has its own soul in it. lyrics is an additional layer that enhances/degenerate based on whether you understand it or not. so if you want lyrics ...chill out and listen to urdu poets...paki saints ...keep yapping wah wah wah.. second singing from nose is what you call soul full...then you don't know a crap about music ...what is so wonderful about "ooooooooo tera tera teraaaaaaaa surrooooooooooor"...dude i think you just wrote something like flame bait...to start a flame war..don't you?....third did you listen to songs from dil se...the point is some songs from Rahman were remastered by him for the sake of hindi audience by the insistance of hindi film producers ..that is lyrics were just layered on top of music since they liked the tune...normally lyricist and composer sit together to work it out....but even then we could say they were remastered only because we had heard of original tracks...so better keep your gnan to urself..peace

Unfortunately, Jatin-Lalit broke up otherwise I consider them one of the best music-composers who have given umpteen number of melodious, heart touching music.
AR Rehman is another genius with great melodies and music.
Please please don't compare these music directors/composers because they all have something UNIQUE about their style.
What surprises me is that all these guys are so young and talented.
Guys just enjoy their music. All of them have room in our industry.
I believe that Reshamiya should be give due kudos for making his own niche in the film industry. It a place where you can not enter without a god father then it is very difficult to survive so long. I think it is not wrong from where he sings as long as he gets the audience for that and an overwhelming response
I hated him for his PR work of his candidate at SaReGaMa. I am forgetting his candidate's name. Himesh tried puplicity stunt that his candidate is in love. That's why he is singing so good etc. I hated him to have Hemachandra eliminated whom I still consider one of the finds of the program.
Hving said that one cannot discount his efforts in bringing SUFI style singing. I know it is not mainstream but it is something new. Of course, he is little bit of arrogant but I think that's his style which comes out as a negative. He has a nasal voice so what Kavita Krishnamoorthy also has it. Difference is that after sometime you cannot tolerate KK but Himesh is trying variety within SUFI style. Unfortunate part of Indian cinema is that one gets branded and it is very difficult to come out of that branding.
