In the first place why not Shilpa herself stop this nonsense, quit the show and come back to India, or the government order her to come back? The media is crying, some people are protesting, the government of India has raised the issue with the British government....but all this is of what use as long as she is only bothered about the 3 crores remuneration but not her self-respect and country's pride?!
This appears to be a pure publicity stunt. The public is purely misguided. If Shilpa wants to play victim, well it is her opportunity to so so and earn big money. I think within India racism exists in so many subtle forms. People are descriminated based on their language, state of origin, caste, religion etc. We, Indians who accuse western societies of racism should think of racism in their own societies first.
Shilpa is there on the show on her own will . she is mature and intelligent to handle such criticism. Ater all the remarks are personal and not targeted to any race.........besides everyone is playing hemselves, so is shilpa. Again you are trivalizing the abuse and racism Shilpa is facing in the house. Shilpa has shown such restraint and dignity. OF course she needs to cry because she has refused to stoop down to these people's level. She has decided to make india proud. By being classy and restrained. One must cry sometimes when you face that much abuse and bullying by a group of people and there is not much you can do. The most disappointing thing about this whole thing is that your only worried about how successful she will be after this whole thing. More than anything she will be disappointed by INdia media and rediff who are only focused on how much money she will make and reflecting it is only a money making scheme on her part. She has lived in INdia all her life . She does not know what it means to be bullied and have racist remarks spued at her. This is something we face every day living in the west. The dirt is out finally on this reality show. What people of different orgins must face and go through by the uneducated white people. You must write about that. YOu must see what this is bringing out. The harsh reality of the colonial world. Anyway, I feel sorry for Shilpa who will come out and see how the INdian media her own people projected her. I live in UK and see the program daily morning and this is 110% a cheap publicity stunt by Shilpa and nothing else. She only keeps on saying "You are doing this because I am an Indian" etc..
Come on ! Media is blowing this out of propotion. When we experience the Racial experience within our country and people responsible are not able to do anything, why waste on dharna for just ONE SHILPA !!! again, she is going to make money, whether she is abused or people spit on her !!!
