wishing, I believe, has a strong power-otherwise millions would not have resorted to replying knowingly or unknowingly in the form of sending wishes,-either stupid remarks of selfish persons,or simple prayers of persons with humane values.In any case,loving Saif,the offspring of the legendary Mansoor Ali Khan and Sharmila,should be physically and mentally recovered to complete fitness and we cannot expect him to be sick at such a small age. I wish I could have done anything practical to bring him back to original fitness.
last i checked, "news" was anything that a sizable percentage of an audience would want to be alerted about. the structure of any successful news portal is such that it displays hyperlinks to material that allow users to freely select material that interest them. saif ali khan is a popular indian actor. i do not understand what the hoopla is about. users who are ambivalent to this news item can ignore it, and click on other hyperlinks that interest them. when amitabh bacchan, and the lesser known south indian actor, vikram, were admitted to an hospital for treatment, i did not see comments asking that such material not be posted. the revulsion displayed in these comments under the guise of irrelevance is really only because he belongs to a minority community. as such, this behavior speaks to a very insecure, intolerant, racist mindset that no explanation can mend. i apologize if i concluded incorrectly and would appreciate any thoughtful insights that would directly contradict any element of my conclusion.

Hello Mr. Reddy, I agree with you entirely when you say people who are ambivalent should skip such articles. But I dont think I agree with you when you say comments are only due to people's prejudices. Think about this, I read the same news as headlines on NDTV and I didnt feel like the content was tabloid like. Personally, I think it is with rediff and the way they have presented the news. Giving us the facts is news. Well, because of that I knew Saif was admitted to the hospital today. But I thought 'please wish him' was taking it a bit too far. Others may disagree with me. I dont know if I have made myself clear here, but you could visit the NDTV page and see if u feel the same way i did. Of course many people who comment on this page are religious fanatics, thats quite clear from many of the postings.

Hello Mr. Observer, Well, I thought I should tell you something. If you take it as preaching or advice, i apologise. I think I remember your screen-name from some place else on rediff. Look Mr. Observer, there are cases of bad apples everywhere in this world. But pleeeease do not generalise. You know you could simply ignore this miniscule population (hindu, muslim whoever) that makes a lot of noise about religion. They dont have anything better to do nor are they capable of productively employing their minds to anything else. I can promise you no one hates saif like you tink they do. even if they did, they are probably really screwed up. i mean, you have to decide what kind of conversation or comment you want to respond to. like they say, if you choose to wrestle every pig in the mud..its hardly the pigs fault!
