research before you talk
by on Oct 25, 2007 01:05 AM

In today's complex world its very difficult to understand who is serving the right cause. i didn't know there is this much discord between hindus and muslims in India(i'm from pakistan). Well may be then some Muslims were right about their demand for a separate nation( may be!!coz there are many good examples of successful Muslims in India too). But i believe that this can be solved only "if people HONESTLY research before they talk and then make their judgements EQUITABLY". Only if both sides have the courage to accept the neauteral version of Facts then only peace can be achieved. Remarkably if u closely watch much of the arguments we do in the current world its based on hearsay. If only we confirm before we speak...avoid stereotyping...things would be different ALTOGETHER

Good Movie,Poor Review!
by Shahabaz Muhsin on Sep 28, 2007 06:26 PM

I have seen the movie 'Dhoka' today, and i completely disagree with the reviewer here. The subject was a common one which has been dealt with by lot of directors before, but the execution of this movie gives the subject a new life.

This couldn't have been directed in a better way.It was worth watching!!! My Congrats to Pooja Bhatt for a Job well done.

Good cast,Good acting, overall an excellent movie. Muzammil did a good job considering that this is his first movie, Bollywood has a new Hero.

I am a frequent reader of Rediff Movie review. sometimes i do choose Movies based on the review. If i would have chosen not to view this movie based on this review then i would have missed a good movie. I would suggest that rediff appoint a good critic for the movie review who is qualified for the job and who can deliver reviews without bias.

Dhoka

Excellent subject which should concern all of us. Unfortunately we leave it for only those who are facing these problems everyday. Very few producers dare to venture into such touchy subjects for fear of commercial retribution. could have been little better in the first half...but then such themes have their own limitations. thankfully no time was wasted on dance and songs in such a serious subject. grant the naiveness of the cast also. well done...
