injustice
by Tanuja on Sep 03, 2007 09:24 PM  | Hide replies

everybody makes movies about Muslims being ill treated etc. even this movies questions a lot of injustice said to be done to Muslims. but doesn't Pooja know that the same is being done to Hindus too? the movie talks as if all police force is against muslims and all the country jails are filled up only by muslims.

on the same note why there are a lot of movies about Gujarat riots but not even a single movie about the victims in that train? dose being burned in a train is less painful than being stabbed on a street?

Tanuja certainly your question is valid. Those who killed in train carnage would have the same pain as of stabbed in street.

the only differnce is that the Train episode is carried by criminals and street sabotage is sponsored by the state government.

An elected government cant act like a bunch of Godhra based criminals, like it the police force cant act based on hatred against one particular community

Miss Tanuja.
Dont be a bone head. India is a country for muslims too. U should hate the train carnage incident not the muslims. Are u sure it was done by muslims. If for argument sake yes, then u have to punish the crimnals not the whole community. Ur comment will only spread hatred. We should work together to built a good nation. Remember its all politics.

its tit for tat...

and if u say it was done by "criminals" then first hang those who started all these, and then talk @ state govt... don't be biased..

Crap

These 'questions' being raised in the movie are lopsided. They see things only through one angle.

I say that communal hatred is propagated, aided and abetted by the 'secular' politics itself. In the small state of Kerala, in a certain district where the 'minority' is actually majority, there are schools run by them that give long holidays for muslim festivals while NO holiday is given for Hindu or Christian festivals. Yes, that school, district and state are all part of secular Indian Union, not Pakistan or some Arab state.

If moderate, tolerant and decently educated Hindus like me are angered by all this, how on earth can one pull back a less tolerant guy from indulging in acts that fan communal tensions? He has no business listening to the secular rants of a braindead few.

Who is the culprit here? Who in the first place offered us a secular, socialist state where everyone is equal and have equal rights? Those very people who were the architects of our constitution actually wanted the muslims to remain backward - educationally, socially and economically...so that community would form an ever-growing gold mine for exploitation.

If this reviewer thinks that the majority needs to introspect about the actual causes of terrorism, I can only say that his vision and understanding of realities are nothing to write home about. The root cause of terrorism is exploitation by vested interests, not any hatred propagated by the majority.

this 1 for u sami

Its pointless in talking & explaining to people who are not ready to listen to you. We can only look at how we can correct our problems.

We have our own problems in the community. Improving Education levels. Awareness about the giant hand which is ready to crush & wipe out the whole community at every available opportunity. And patience to work and climb through the ladder of equitable prosperity.

Dont we remember history. People who were taken for a ride were all able to improve their status and were able to live a life of dignity & sophistication.

Its not easy. Its gonna be an uphill task. It may take some decades. But, we dont have to ask people to join us in bridging cultures & civilizations.

If you are able to show yourself & your community the light at the end of the tunnel, generations will remember you forever.

you are right about that , but i don't want to work just for "My Community"- i want to make a positive contribution to the country as a whole , because it is as much my country as it is theirs -if that involves taking a few brickbats along the way so be it , i just want to let my hindu brothers ,that all muslims are not terrorists & more than 95% of muslims in india wish to live in peace with their hindu brothers.

One doesnt have to appreciate Sami for what has been said by him . Appreciation comes when one expects otherwise. Sami isa an Indian and an Indian will say like that only . If one looks realistically all the terrorist issues is being created by hardelements who have a hidden agenda. I agree with you that 95% of people are peace loving, patriot Indians .. Jai Hind
