Use ur fame to help needy of India
by Mike Singh on Apr 24, 2007 06:53 AM  | Hide replies

I hope u can use your fame to help the hungry kids of India. "THE REPUBLIC OF HUNGER: This was the title of some special TV programs presented on a cable channel in India known as NDTV. They showed some terrible pictures from all over the country and reported that over 60 million children go hungry every day in India. They also reported that each and every minute an average of three children die of hunger in India. If you like you may send a message to feedback@ndtv.com and try to get some footage of %u201CThe Republic of Hunger%u201D tape which they showed during the Republic Day week of India. What I saw on the TV broke my heart and I sat and cried. I asked God to help me save at least 10% of those hungry children from hunger and death. That means to care for at least 6 million children in 200,000 homes with 300 children each. Is there anyone who is reading this who cannot send $20 a month for one child or $40 a month to help two children? I am sure that God will want you to do your very best and also ask all your friends to do the same. So please print some copies and distribute to your friends and relatives, whom we may never meet." If you will help send mail: yesicare101@yahoo.com

then i will say beggars want a dime from him, then some cobblers will want to stitch his shoes, then some traders want him to buy from them and some girls will want to date with him, but barbers only want to cut his hair.

You may be right. But the American media has been portraying him more as as Indian Indian then the Indian media. He looks Inidan and his name is Indian being Sanjaya Sekhar Malakar. It hardly matters. He has achieved fame for himself as a teen called Sanjaya and not as an Indian as you have said.

Good riddance!!

every week faithfully so many Indians with great patriotism watched Idol in support of Sanjaya. And week after week he let us down...

It is a singing contest but all he did is prance around with his antics and 'hair raising' behavior... It was sad, coz he had talent but opted to use silly ways to get attention.

The end result is that people like him, but they are laughing AT him not WITH him

When Simon Cowel rolled his eyes on Chris Shout out to The vtech Incident. They knew it was going to Blow over and His Image was going to get a huge setback due to extemely sensitive nature of celeb baiting these days.
Now sanjaya was a cash cow for AI-6 but Simon is their only relevant Judge.

So they decided to comeout with something really really sensational. Sack Sanjaya.
I mean no one can believe this.

Sanjaya could not have gone before chris and Phill.

And then Simon also went over board in criticising Sanjaya this time, Chris and Blake were equally bad. And now if sanjaya was to survive such bashing by simon then he would have been Irrelevant.

Frigging Simon , this was personal.

I can understand your feelings for Sanjay. But Sanjay himself admitted on the Jay Leno show on thursday that he (sanjaya) knew after watching his own country song performance that he was going to lose. Sanjay actually for some reason did not sing well and all others did pretty well if not great. Sanjay also told Jay Leno that he was not used to singing country songs. But then Simon is mean to everyone and not just Sanjay. Meanness is Simon's trade mark. After all he is one of the Co Producers of the show. It was expeceted that Sanjay was going to lose either this or the following two weeks. But you may be correct about Simon manipulating the votes. He did this couple of years back by jamming Clay Aiken's phone line so that people could not vote for Clay. The reason was Simon did not wish Clay to win because of Clay being a closet gay. It was quite obvious Clay would have been the winner had not Simon jammed the phone lines of Clay. This kind of rigging happens all the time in American Idol during the last 6 weeks. Simon makes sure the winner is picked by him like you have said.

Sanjaya

I got hooked onto American Idol this season because of Sanjaya. I have to say I was prejudiced toward him because I am an American married to a man from India. I couldn't believe the nasty comments being made about such a lovely young man. I am so glad he appears to be untouched by narrow-minded people. His spirit came shining through throughout the whole contest. When Diana Ross said "Sanjaya is pure love.", I think she was right. I hope Sanjaya's path takes him beautiful places and that he will always think "LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL." May Krishna, Jesus and his friends and family always be with him.

I agree with you 100%. People have said a lot of bad things about this young kid because he is not a great singer. But he is such a lovable kid that he has made himself the American Idol of 2007 even without winning it. But he should have selected a better country song to sing and I feel he gave up too easily. Even otherwise I think Sanjaya has nade a name for himself and should do well as an entertainer. Good luck kiddo!

Yeah , sanjaya has got some new voice in world, he is really good and very honest, humble man.He is really hard working man, he looks to be very confident and always smiley. He knows indian tradition. I want sanjaya to be back on stage and even make trip to india and make stage perform for all . its good sign that britney is looking for sanjaya to be singer partner. All the best to him.
