Sanjaya

I will miss Sanjaya on American Idol. He caught my eye because I am American and my husband is Indian. I lived in India for several years and Sanjaya's glowing smile and openness embody what I love best about many of the people from that country. Diana Ross said it all when she said "Sanjaya is pure love." What a wonderful young man to keep on keeping on with all the negative things said about him. I hope his lovely nature isn't spoiled by show business. Krishna and Jesus are well represented in this sweet young man. May he be led along a path that will keep him thinking "LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL."

there are far too many indians who are idolised and romanticised by the west, the recent liz hurley wedding is also an indication. no offence, but how is it the underdogs win charm , enjoy every bit over there and come and preach about patriotism and how great is their india back home? and as he left it to go there, why should he represent something of krishna, it is forsaken for christ.

Sanjaya..

Sanjaya is in higher demand than the other finalists for commercial and TV projects. Companies such as KFC have made offers to Sanjaya via press releases, and even Billy Ray Cyrus from ABCs "Dancing With The Stars" has reached out to Sanjaya to appear on his daughters "Hannah Montana TV show". If all the money that Sanjaya stands to make from CD sales, endorsement deals, and TV sitcom appearances is added up, then Sanjaya likely has already won American Idol.

Give him a break Nadeem..I am from India and I don't believe it is shameful at all.It takes a lot of guts to get up on the stage and sing when people all around you say negative things.Give him a break he is only 17 what were you doing at that age.?He was used by people for their personal agenda and Sanjaya was just used as puppet in some ways.Even though his last song was not good at all,He is not a terrible singer,he has a charm which I am sure will come in handy for him.I wish him all the best for the future

Despite being bashed by the judges, Sanjaya managed to get wonderful compliments from almost all of the celebrity mentors. Maybe they saw something in Sanjaya that most of America didnt see.

I was really sad to see him go. his todays performance was great, one of his best, yesterday he was probably nervous. I didnt vote for him yesterday because I didnt want people to be mean to him more. I hope the haters are happy now..please dont be mean to him when he gets out. Sanjaya you are a hero..just follow your dreams.

A True American Idol
by on Apr 19, 2007 08:32 PM

One day, after all the dust settles, this young, talented and more experienced artist will produce a CD or be cast in a feature film that will show the rest of the world what the biased comments of judges and producer encouraged detractors could not see. I have no doubt that the world will be seeing far more of this true American Idol. He has been, by far, the most human and enjoyable competitor in all of the Idol Series run. He truly will be missed. To Sanjayah, I simply say this: Keep your chin up, and keep on believing. Just look around you. Look at the blogs and the news bites and the magazine and paper articles. The judges and producers may not have seen fit to bestow the title upon you, but America already has %u2014 you are, beyond any doubt, a true American Idol.

Sanjaya, a name will be trademarked soon and splashed over teen magazines around the world. Hes going to have the last laugh.
Malakar will be able to ride his time as a pop culture punchline to wealth and fame. There will be record deals, movie offers and endorsement offers galore coming his way. Plus, hes going to tour with the other Idol finalists.

You are wrong Mr.Khan. Who selected him to the final 24 in the first place? It was the judges. They thought he was good. So blame the judges and not Sanjay. If you are so concerned for the NRI's reputation why don't you do something better than Sanjay instead of just whining and cribbing? What have you done better than Sanjay has and why don't you prove it to us? If people did't like him how come he got all the votes? People are not so dumb to listen to jokers like Stern. The fact that Sanjay reached the last 7 is a big thing for a kid. Can you perform like Sanjay did on National TV in front of 40 million viewers? You think it is so easy, do you?
