first banned on such movies
by Chempromech on Apr 17, 2007 09:56 AM  | Hide replies

YA, its true that whatever gere do to shilpa should not be happenend. Indians even not kissed to their wives (i mean in public) But, what abt. movies that are releases now, r they showing our Indian culture. Lets have a look on the movies that are released earlier like SALAM NAMASTE, NEEL N NIKKI, DHOOM 2. It's very difficult for us to watch this movies in theatres before so many ppls. this type of movies should banned first.
OR there should be a note in the theatres
ONLY FOR ADULTS.

What culture are you taking about? Read the Kamshastra... see the Khajuraho temples... read the Puranas and see what the so called gods did during that glorious period and you will find out what our culture is.... What is happening today is just a revival of the glorious culture that you are talking about

'GLORIOUS CULTURE'
by Religious Scholar on Apr 17, 2007 09:50 AM

I think the people who are protesting should read Kamashastra and go and see the Khajuraho temples where our 'glorious culture' is reflected and they will find that Richard and Shilpa are just trying to revive the 'glorious culture' of ancient India.... and what's the best way to start the revival but with a kiss!

by Geetarti Sharma on Apr 17, 2007 05:47 AM

come on ppl ... why is this making such a furore??? it was just a kiss and more than anything i don't see Shilpa complaining so what's the problem???!!!! there are a lot more pressing issues that need addressing ... one of the main being the state of the country's politics and ppl are making a fuss over a kiss!!! come on ppl get ur priorities right... Jai Mata Di

It's Shilpa's problem!
by TishaBhatia on Apr 17, 2007 04:14 AM

From where I see it - Richard Gere kissed Shilpa. So if anyone has the right to demand an apology - its HER! What right does anyone else have to demand an apology? It's ludicrous! Let her deal with it. Why do people waste thier time and energy making such a hue and cry on such silly issues? If only they knew how to channel their energy towards more positive causes!

publicity stunt
by dilip chopra on Apr 17, 2007 01:07 AM  | Hide replies

Who knows that Shilpa might have told Gear herself behind the stage that please do it, what he did. For more publicity as Big Brother episode is getting stale. What you all out there think?

shilpa wants to make a comeback so anything she does for HER own selfish benefit is believeable - bear in mind whatever she does is for HER self & own publicity - she probably couldn't care less about the aids programme but its good publicity & her fans will argue in the future that she has done charity work for aids victims...isn't she such a goody goody...i will agree with anyone out there that she pre-arranged this with Gere.I can't see why Gere lowered himself to her level.
