It will be a good with modern thinking of Ramayana,for good teaching to the public for better thinking and to know good things.But I like to know who will play for Laba and Kush?Should we wait till they arrives in this modern world?
I think peoples are going nuts in the world of bollywood for choosing villan looking artists for the role of Ram. I think old ramayana casting was cool. I think bollywood should shut their industry.

How can you say that you bloody fool.Dont even dare to say anything to devgan.Because he is the best actor today in the whole industry.And he is only having that dark look to play the role of ram
Ramayana Epic is full of characters...SO why not think beyond Ram and Sita, There are characters which cud give life to the movie. I do not have oppinion on Ram Sita duo, but some suggestions on other strong Characters: Ravana(A Strong Man of Vocal and Built) - No comparison other than the BIG B (Amitabh Bachan).
Hanuman (Jai Siya Ram - Muscular Built BIG Man) - Jonh/ Mohit Ahlawat.
Ram and Lakshmana - The Duo Brothers (Sunny and Bobby respectivly)
Bharat - Abhay Deol
Shartrugnan - Imran Hashmi
Vibhishan - Anupam Kher/ Nasurideen Shah or any other character role actors
Khumbakaran - No Specific Choices (But a built up person is required - prefferbly a vilionous character from Southern Movie wud do justice).
Shurpanaka - Kareena Kapoor (Feels rediculus but beleive me she wud do justice to that character).
Sita - Vidya Balan (Best Choice)
Bali (Another Strong Character need attention)- Sanju Baba (No match)
Sugreev - Vivek Oberio/ Dino Moria
Raja Dasharat - Jakiee Shraaf/ Anil Kapoor
Lord Shiva - Madhavan/ Abhishek Baachan
Now once these characters are set by Santhoshi, I wonder were wud he get the money to make the movie.
i am not sure whether Ajay and Kajol will fit the bill as Ram-Sita.Its entirely on the Director and the makeup artist and offcourse the promotions made.
If they are able to do justice then we will have a good serious movie to watch.If not then at the most it will turn out to be a comedy movie.In either case Rajkumar Santoshi will be generating revenue.

you bloody fool He is more younger than any other actor.Devgan is the best.2 National award winner.
to be honest its a bad choice to actually make SUCH kind of a movie pariting ajay and kajol. i think for sitas role gracy singh will be the best and for rams character im afraid i cant think of any1....
