what can i say?
by NRI on Nov 04, 2006 12:20 AM

why do they try to make original classics?First Don and now Umrao Jaan.Aishwarya stands nowhere compared to Rekha.Rekha was a diva and she still is.Forget about the story telling acting was so below par except sabana azmi. The only way i can describe new "umrao jaan" is HORRIBLE.........its like a work of a rookie......didn't expect it so bad from J.P Dutta.I just wanna say, stop copying films for hollywood or classics and bring out ur creativity, and if u can't do it.......don't make films.........sit home and play POKER rather!!!

Umrao , do not repeat this ugly steps to reshoot
by Dr.K.N.Babu on Nov 03, 2006 09:32 PM

It is very funny that in Indian films producers are still falling in love with copying the same again and again. Nothing novel.
I would request the Bollly woodd people to transalate Benhur , Ten Commandments and other beautiful movies like Awara, Jis Desh men Ganga Bahthi hai , Madhumati, Kohinoor,ARADHANA, Tajmahal Anarkali , Waqt,Jangak mein mangal,to remake and remake and finish up and become BANKRUPT.

AND SPOIL THEIR EXISTING CONDITION.
AND GO FOR BIG LOANS FROM ELEMENTS-BANKS,

Make some houses for poor / at least repair for the poor in Lonavla or Alleppey, Kudaku,Tinneeveli, Thenkashi, Pollachi or Kashmir, etc and go to Sangam and dip themselves.

Umrao Jaan & Remixes
by Sunil on Nov 03, 2006 08:41 PM

The review seems to be written like a horoscope. If you are an Aries you will like it. If you are a Taurus you will hate it. I might as well toss a coin if I wanted to see Umraao Jaan...(that is if I wanted to see it in the first place...)

If remakes are going to be a norm, they might as well make them at the time of the release of the original one (like the Remixes)! Isn't it another blockbuster idea for Bollywood?

mr/ms gullu singh, aishwarya is known to be as graceful as one can.grace is her forte. that's why i can't believe when you say her dances lacked grace. maybe your definition of "grace' is different. the alternate review has praised her dancing sky high.now which one should the reader believe?
