I would like to suggest Shah Rukh Khan to rethink about these. I think all he is doing for saving his grace. He should look at Amir or even at John Abraham, who are moving with new kind of movies. He did Devdas, now doing Don and also thinking about Kabhi Kabhi. I am admirer of SRK for his intensity and unused potential. Amitabh was also the superstar but he did all kind of films. Dilip Kumar portrayed in nearly all kind of roles. He is becoming hero of remakes !! I think Yash Chopra should also rethink about it. For the roles of Amitabh and Shashi Kapoor, SRK and Akshay are one of the worst choice. One can assume SRK can play the role of AB but Akshay is nowhere. He cannot do the justice with role played by Shashi Kapoor (who is one of the best actor of hindi cinema). About remakes whatever Devanand said is absolutely right. One can make movie which can be inspired by certain movie, but remakes are not tribute (as they claim) but a joke.
akshay & shahrukh would be the right choice for the two but priety might not b such a great choice .rani would b a much better choice & vidya balan would be a good one for waheeda \'s role . as for rishis role i have doubts uday chpra might get the role

yashji i earnestly request you 2 make this film,its a great starcast and of course with SRK in it,its bound 2 be a blockbuster.Please make us relive the magic!!
will be the worst mistake of ur life..a horribel life,.... as kabhie kabhie is all abt amitabh bahchans voice and poetry... and no one can do it liek he does it..a horible idea again...jsut gives me the shudders
'Kabhi Kabhi" was a classic love story, which was unique in it's own right. SRK,Preity n AK might not create the same magic as portrayed by the likes of Bachchan,Rakhi n Sashi kapoor. But,one thing is sure...having SRK in the movie under Yashraj banners, the movie is gonna be a sure shot hit, as we all know about SRK's crowd-pulling abilities.
Hello guys, Wow man...the cast Yash Chpra has decided is cool..except Preity Zinta..and belive me shahrukh and akki will rock in this two roles.But for the lady role i guess another wud be better..may be "Rani".....but no preity.only cos she wudnt be a gud fit.
I believe that the original old golden films should not be remade as they have their own charm in their originality - the cast, story, music, songs, emotions, etc - which cannot be matched in the films being made these days. Even if the remake is made, the effect & charm will not be as much as that of the original film. As the saying goes "Old is Gold" indeed !
As regard to the remaking of the legendary movie... Kabhie (2).... the cast will need to justify the subject & not copying of the original acts of yesteryear!!!! cause the subject is so delicate and the one which will be evergreen for the coming generation too. Cast as stated & desired by Yashji....Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta & Akshay Kumar....as Amitabh Bachan, Rakhee & Shashi Kapoor seems to be alright... a minor change in cast would mean a great boost to the entire getup for the movie and that would be instead of Preity (with due respect to her) if Rani is made to react the role of Rakheeji, i believe it would give a totally new dimension with justification to the entire plot!!!! As regard to Shahrukh Khan, it wouldn't be of great deal for him to imitiate Amitji as he anyways...copies him a lot more than ever in all his movies!!!! The surprise package of the new star cast is Akshay Kumar to play the role of Shashi Kapoor!!!! Surpirse cause this is one actor who has proved by his acting of different roles with utmost sincereity & honesty that today everyone has to accept him as one of the intense and versatile actor!!!! He deserves to get equal weightage if Yashji will play fair
