The IT department served notices on him, why should he scurry off to the press?! There are far more important topics that can be brain stormed upon and rediff should take such discussions out from here and put where they belong - in the virtual world of Filmfare, etc. Get on with your lives!
big is super star .and our law is ok but we have to think how can i solvethis problem. big bis has done very good in real life and film life. so i think incomtax department and big must compromise this problem.
Sir, I am as much a fan of Amitabh as your reporter. The report indicates a sad situation wherein media first spreads wrong or uninvestigated criticism and then want the party concerned to defend itself. Notice served in hospital bed, he is being questioned about sunglass purchase and so on. IT dept is a maligned department and we seem to have a natural hatread of it. Notices are issued day in and day out as a part of their effort to under-payment of IT. Many have recd such notices but when it is someone who is supposed to belong to the opposite camp of the Govt in power, it is called vendetta. Amitabh has suffered in the past due to media generated reports, when he was in the other camp. Everyone tries to use some loophole to 'save' tax. Sometimes it is questioned. It, in my opinion , is just that which the media grabbed to increase their TRP.
Why is the media highlighting this matter egged on by certain political leaders who without any basis accuse the Congress of being behind such IT notices issued to Mr Bachchan. Mr AB is a high earning individual and has a number of IT appeals and dues to the dept. Such notices are issued in the matter of course. Obviously some of your stories are based on rumours which have even been denied by Mr AB himself. Why should he worry if he has been honest in his declarations in his IT returns? Unfortunately his association with certain political friends is lending him more disrepute. But unfortunately he owes them a lot because they are supposed to have helped him when he was down and out! I am sure he is capable of dealing with the matter if he will be left alone by the media.
I think the realty is amply clear about Mr. Bachchan. I do not even think that Mr. Bachchan deserves any public sympathy and rather make all his tax disputes clear in public if he has chosen to create a new platform for his tax notices. He should have come with all his returns and property papers while going with Samajwadi Party workers for demonstration. On all other issues, he tries to project himself as a very clever person and he is away form politics and any other wrong doings and that he is not interested in political benefits. I always had a doubt in whatever he said. He had no regrets when ABCL ate up public money. Does anybody also know of any social or charity work for the benefit of society done by Bachchans any where. I know....! he was trying to benefit Samajwadi party and besides that...nothing for public. Since when he became family friends with Amar Singh and Mulayam...only after parting ways from Sonia and when he was looking for rescuers at the time of his last debacle.
You are no good...common, Mr. Bachchan. Go and face the tax querries like a gentleman and be a good citizen of the country and don't think that people don't about you.
