I don\'t think so at all. Amitabh and several other celebrities routinely make a mockery of IT rules by owing several crores to the department. I think they should be ashamed that when hard working indians who can hardly make both ends meet are paying their dues these guys find every excuse to delay IT payments. When they don't pay what they owe it impacts several social and other developmental projects. Bottomline if they were in a more developed country many of them would have been behind bars long ago. The fact that Amitabh was in the hospital when the notice was served is irrelevant--pay up what you owe and don't look for excuses or make up these silly "being victimised" theories.
The samajwadi party and its mouth piece Amar singh want to represent Bachans and make political advantage blaming/accusing congress. Let IT officials do their job and amar singh and his party should not politicalize the issue. If every party come and rescue the businessmen/actors then there is no income for IT department.
Sir, Without knowing the full details it would not be correct to take a view. The fans, I am also one, can never accept that Amitabh can do any thing wrong. Purchases of high value items are being investigated in many cases. The officials are known to bend backwords to gain favour from the rulers of the time, with and without their clearance. Media can go to any extent to spread juicy stiries to gain high TRPs. The way all things big and small are made out to originate from one person alone, weakens the story, even if it has some basis.-abmehta

no i dont think he is harrased by income tax department. if he fell he is inocent then y not he is coprating the IT DEP i think he is guilty thats why he is seeking help from polictical party like s.p.

Individuals like Bachchan are not incapable of defaulting on paying income tax. I certainly think that his income tax payment patterns should be carefully monitored and he should be penalized if he is found to have dodged taxes.
That is the culture of congress by large. In opposition or in power, they just play destructive role by using all their ability in destructing nation and harssing oponents.
