Justice has been done
by Radhika on Feb 18, 2006 01:17 AM

I am glad that there is still scope of justice to be done in a high profile cases. Salman is not different from other indians. Hopefully he be sentenced in the drunk driving case too and so justice can be done for the person who lost his life.

he deserved it

it should have been long time back. Crying he is innocent is foolishness and disrespect for the law of the country. How many times he will evade the law with his money and political influence. There are many cases against him and he is linked to underworld. Atleast they have proved one, tx god.

The VP of US accidentally shot a human

The VP of the US accidentally shoots a human and there will be no case against him. Salman surely needs to move to the US if he enjoys hunting . He does not even need a permit like the VP.

Why is it that when something of this sort happens in this country that someone immediately compares this scenario with that in the United States. Does it mean that whatever the United States does kind of lays down the law for other countries to follow? Why do we feel the need to embrace each and every policy of the United States? Why not truly embrace those that actually make sense? But I am sure, the minds of people in this country, as depicted by sunil in his message, are too prone to hipocrisy.

convicting salman is a farce!
by bijoy ranjan dey on Feb 18, 2006 12:39 AM

Everyone , keeping a track on the Salman Khan and the black buck controversy for the last 8 and half years, have been in utter disbelief and jitters of shock everafter of being aware of the judgemnt.

in one line --- its the mockery of the indian judicial system.... no indian citizen would like to breach the sanctity of the law of the land.... but the million dollar question is why salman alone ?? if the incident is to be beleved, there were other co accused in the case....then why are they going scott-free? at this juncture the question doin the rounds in every indian is what were the parameters selected by the court to judge that Salman was the lone person to have participated in the prohibited balck buck killing?

this shows the lack of tranperncy in the indian legal facade and how the whims and desires of CERTAIN people , play a role in the fate of a case pending before the law. we are certainly not siding with salman..... if he has done a crime he deserves the punishemnt..... but then why this discrimination?

at the end of the day , as the story unfolds, we can smell something very fishy ..... someone or some 'hidden' hand had definately played a role in shaping the

Shocked!!
by Amit on Feb 18, 2006 12:31 AM

I am shell shocked! But not at Salman being sent to jail for a year.. but at Salman getting away with just one year! He should be thrown in jail for atleast 3-5 years. Also, Mr. Ravi Chopra, if you want everyone to leave Salman alone to lead a peaceful life, first talk to your buddy and tell him what peace means. Hopefully that might help!

Salman Go for it.
by Rahul on Feb 17, 2006 11:52 PM

Salman if you have done it then there can't be a better opportunity to register firmly in the epople's mind. You can turn a month in a jail as your life time achievement that will boost your personality and your public image. Just go for it, don't make any statement at this juncture your silence will express everything. If i were you i would have.

What crap - he deserves it and more
by Sumant on Feb 17, 2006 11:52 PM

.... The assumption that he was above the law was flawed. Is it cool to bring down a black buck?

Whats the note on him being victimized? I think the law has to deliver - him and all the other folks in India who assume a little extra fame makes them immune.
