Salman news

Do our Filmwals consider themselves above law. A major reason why justice was delayed, is Salman's intentional delay. His remarks in court show that he is a big hypocryte.

Ravi Chopra should be tried for contempt of court.

SALMAN Innocent........no doubt it..
by Farrukh Ahmed on Feb 17, 2006 08:55 PM

To begin with, I am not a great fan of Salman, but I like his acting, persona projected in movies..

This is so ridiculous that salaman khan has been given a one year scentence on poaching deers. First of all, was he doing it all alone? What about other actors? Why suddenly after 8 years a judgement as stupid as this? Salman is clealry being made a scapegoat...sucks.

Why is it only when a famous actor kills a dear, the rules and regulation with all this razzmatazz huphullah given and shown in media????? What about landlords, zameendars or even rich ppl in India proabbly lesser known, they DO THE BRIBING WITH EASE to a forest officer and escape???? Any answers to that. I have seen with my eyes, even truck drivers while travelling from far off places find a deer, try to captivate it for meat. What about thousands of similar cases then???? IS ANYONE SEEIN THAT, IS THERE ANY CHECK????????????????????????

Sorry state of affairs
by Prasanna on Feb 17, 2006 08:38 PM

It speaks volumes about how our society considers some individuals as first among equals...nay, celebrities dont count amongst equals.

I am very glad that rule of law prevails (though I wonder why it takes so long for something so straightforward), so why the talk of victimisation? Is there a law that a repeat offender, nay, a multiple-offender shouldnt be convicted multiple times?

Well, its a good qn why others werent punished, but that in no way excuses Salman of wrongdoings.

fair play

They say bollywood is in shock , i really dont understand why. Maybe people are in misconception that actors have special previlages in the indian constitution. I think it's very normal, a person is punished for commiting a crime. We know the history of the person.

Good judgement
by Mohan on Feb 17, 2006 08:36 PM

Did Chopra go mad or what? Looks like he's more concerned about his film than justice. He asks "Was it written on the bullet that Salman had fired?". I'm asking this person how is he in the film industry for all these years when he is unaware of the fact that it is easy to trace the bullet to the gun and from gun to the person who owns it.

Now coming back to the judgement, infact it is a good judgement. Mr.Salman deserves it. He should have been punished long back. But as we know, in India, law will take its own course and its own time.

guilty must punished
by mehak on Feb 17, 2006 08:34 PM

i think the decision of the court is right n there is no need of making hue n cry over the matter.there is equality before law n nobody is above our law.the truth must prevail n guilty must b punished.
