Its doesnt matter to touch a realistic topic as long as the director is sure what he trying to potray. If Karan wanted to show that if a couples are getting along with their spouses then move on, then he should protray abhishek & Preity as negative characters. And should have shown why the rani and srk werent happy in their marriage. Why the hell would a woman leave her husban who is so much considered and gentle to his wife, despite of Rani being so mean & rude to abhishek and he never made feel hurt about not conceiving. On the other hand, if preity would have been selfish than she would have accepted the promotion and always waited for Srk to respond her in the loving. Its not her fault if she didnt have time for her husband since she was the bread earner and " the man of the house".
Despite of the unjustice to Preity and abhishek, the victory went to the hands of rani and Srk!
Karan Johar is soo confused that he doent even know himself what he is trying to prove. In other to show to the viewers that kank is not another ending like Silsila, he made the mess of the whole film.
SRk's has overacted alot & the slap from preity wasnt enough. He needs 3 more slaps!!!
A story which does not have any sense or responsibility in itself from social perspective. How come a man with 8 years old marriage can go out of marriage like this just as he liked another married women. A character of Prety Zinta has a most respectfull meaning and she does everything right as demand. May it be the need for earning her family ( though she knew her primary requirement of looking over kis does not stand due to earnign responsibility), or going forward with a broken leg marriage.
A character of Rani is of a bitch or a going to be pimp. Nothing to discuss on that as she ditched the most caring hubby played by Abhishek just with a sully excuse of love.
And abhishek, as always happens is the best with his role as an actor. And Amitabh, how can he be wrong, Man!!! Shah rukh i sbad as always be in acting, irritating.
But finally this movie is not at all watchable in th e facts that it is morally and socially unreliable an mentally disturbed creation.
KANK Is AWESOME...Period! Finally a movie which shows reality. People are living it but nobody likes to talk about it till now cause it's the blatant truth. I loved every iota of KANK... I wish the movie never ended:-) You do need that amount of time to show a story built over years. I believe that you have One life to live so one should live it up with Love and PAssion and not just for the sake of survivial. KANK shows u that....
Karan you are Amazing and I loved everyone in the movie. I'm so proud that Amitabh is from my school-Sherwood:-)
Dear friends, we live in Philadelphia. we drove for 1 hr to Doylestown to watch KANK. i had many reasons to watch KANK on the 3rd day of its release. I am a fan of SRK & Karan Johar. the 1st one hr of the movie was good with comedy. the 2nd 1 hr was ok with some very good arguements but, the last one & half hrs were unbearable with lot of melodrama. it was dragging.
I didnt really understand wats wrong with Maya{Rani} she had such a loving & caring husband, money still she was not happy & always wanted to part. when Rishi was doing so much for her, cant she do small things like going to parties with him? As far as remaining characters, i felt they r right in their way even priety.
i really got severe headache after the movie, & i think the extramarital affair is SILSILA is more justified. And i dont understnd why Karan plots his movies in NY. i mean, they neednot live in NY for this story. it was fine even they were in MUMBAI. I personally feel, that Marriage is not just LOVE. ITS LIFELONG COMMITMENT.Adjustments, compromise r part of it. Despite the westernization, we INDIANS give the most respect to marriage & i strogly suggest Karan to think beyond LOVE.
For idiots with no taste. It was a boring, very corny and long! Script was poorly written with the characters trying to be funny but the jokes bombed big time. Stay away, don't waste your time and money. Ridiculous crap!
