When I first saw Shahrukh
by Tarika on Oct 29, 2005 01:34 PM

Hi Shahrukh,

Wish you a very happy birthday. I saw you recently in Atlanta during Temptation 2004 tour. I can never have expected a better Rakhi gift than getting a ticket for your show from my older brother who lives in Atlanta. I can never forget that day. I remember each and every sequence of that show and even your costumes. My brother and my sister, who is a big fan of you, accompanied me. It was a great night. The sadest part is that I do not have your autograph as I was not among the VIP visitors. Well I'm waiting for another opportunity to see you and get your autograph.

All the best

It was sometime in the year 1992/93. It so happened that there was a shooting for film 'KABHI HA KABHI NA' for a song at Bandra yard (Now Bandra Terminus )And king khan was supposed to dance for a song.

It took him nearly 20 takes to complete 3 lines of the song and he once very near nearly fell on the tracks.

But I was really impressed with the patience and commitment from his side for completing the scene because it was only shown for couple of seconds in the actual film.

After the scene we were standing at the gate and a guy in a bike asked to stand aside so that he can pass through. We were more concentrating on the activities on the station. The bike guy took off his helmet and there he was, SRK himself in blood and flesh. We couldnt even come out of the shock before he just whisked away in the bike. It was really awesome and moment to remember.

Well I wish him a very happy birthday and all the besT for his future.

Srini

met SRK
by Rajeev Kalra on Oct 29, 2005 12:08 PM

Ya,it was during his school days & many years later, during screening of a movie called Ram Jaane. It was through a common friend,Kapil, who owns this property,Odean theatre in New Delhi.Things have changed a lot for him, from St.Columbus to super star of Bollywood.Only thing which should have but has not is his Classic Regular sticks, his smoking. All I pray for him on his 40th B'day is some super natural power which takes away his smoking habit & Bless him with whatsoever he desires in life,be it good health, peace, happiness & a loving family

WISHING YOU A VERY HAPPY B'DAY

I met Shah Rukh way back in1989
by Mohan Sunderam on Oct 29, 2005 12:07 PM

Way back in 1989,I alongwith my wife and daughter were going to cochin from Delhi. While waiting at the airport,I wanted to buy cigrettes(I use to smoke those days-not any more).Suddenly I saw a young man also buying a pack of Classic Cigerette.I recollected 'Fauji'and yes,he was Shah Rukh, not a star at that time, but he had all the qualities of a star,as Fauji was a great hit.I immediately told my wife ,and she was also thrilled to see Shah Rukh.Later I came to know that Shah Rukh did his graduation from Hansraj college, the very same college,I did my graduation but much before (1976)than Shah Rukh(1984).Now of course he is a big star and as the legend Amitabh said the other day that the current Badshah of Indian Cinema is SHAH RUKH KHAN,and I fully endorse his statement.
Please convey my best wishes on his 40th birthday.May God bless him with good health and a long & peacful life.

only and only king khan
by Rakesh bareja on Oct 29, 2005 11:52 AM

I am a great fan of Shahrukh Khan and seems it would be difficult for me to remember any movie of king khan which I have not seen at cinema hall.

Way back in i think 92-93 . King khan became very popular by then as his 3 movies Deewana, chamatkaar and Raju Ban gaya gentleman were huge hits and he was craze amongs everybody. i was 23 years old then and we were staying in Savitri nagar in delhi. we had heard that his inlaws factory is in Savitri Nagar only and one fine morning we came to know shahrukh is there only. We 6-7 guys went there and asked the chokidaar we want to meet Mr. Shahrukh Khan . He showed us the way ,we went upstairs and in front of us Kink Khan Was sitting, beside him Was his wife . I could easily recognised her as I had seen her photographs in books etc.
Then we went To Mr. Khan he met with all of us gave autograph to each of us . We spent only 5 mts. with him and believe me that 5 mts. are still freezed in our memory like anything.i also come to know that King Khan and me both have same marriage anniversary dates.
i wish at least i should have one more live glimpse of King Khan.

Happy Birthday king khan

Knew Shahrukh
by Rajiv Mahajan on Oct 29, 2005 11:25 AM

It was in 1990-91, I was the Branch Manager of State Bank of Patiala, safdarjung Enclave Branch where Shah Rukh had a current account for his industrial oil agency. He was then known as 'that boy who acts in Fauji serial. He came to me for an overdraft of Rupees fifty thousand which he said, would return in ten days. He also enquired ' what security I would take for the overdraft ?' I said 'Khan ki zuban' and I sanctioned the overdraft. As a true Khan, he paid back the money in time. He was very nice all through and hosted a dinner for me and my family in his restaurant called 'Khatir' in Delhi for me and my family where he told us that he has signed a few films, one of which was "Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman'. We also shot some snaps which we still have. He has gone far ahead in life to remember any of the above but it means a lot to me and my family. May God give him wisdom and right path always to handle what the almighty has blessed him with.
