boys still remains the best movie of shankar... except that stupid media still denies to accept truth. ARR n shankar make the best team and bring out the best in each other. How dare u call boys as 'horrible'?
Hello Krishnakumar, do you really believe that one can "comprehend what is being said" with your English?? Why choose tough words to explain simple things??
Okay then...The stmt "Matrix was a sci-fi movie" is not necessary. Anyone who has seen that movie definitely know that. Seems like you were concerned about the logic of the stunts alone.. what about the rest....
Come on man.... such a high budget film needs all these things... Come out of the matrix presumption and watch the stunts... then you will appreciate them, considering the efforts that would need to make one like that...
u r the one and only can take this type of movie .... ur way of thinking is good....its really superb.... i cant imagine... vikram acting aslo superb....ajith is also a good actor plz take it as in ur mind ...title of the movie is excellant.... prakash raj & vivek acting superb ,.... every seen is good there is no negative seen in that film every thing is positive..... sir really i love your thinking....all the best .... by T.GOPINATH.BE @VLB ENGG. 46,VANIYAR STREET, KARAMADAI, COIMBATORE-641104.
Vikram and Shankar u did a super job as always. One small suggestion dont waste so much money (27 Cr) for saying a same old thought that u want india to be most developed one. dont some thing innovative.

I totally agree with u. Music of Harris doesn't help the movie. And some numbers remind me some old songs. The song REMO is derived from famous MACARENA song. The folk number he produced is absolutely ordinary. ARR should have been much better choice. If he was not available he should have gone for the next available best... may be Shankar Ehasan Loy. I think Ilayaraja is a bad choice.
The film as such is so well crafted and sculpted. And the camera techniques and the choreography goes well with the movie, in giving it a racy speed. The music is anything but disappointing. Harris Jeyaraj, has been doing a great job in the films of his 'genre' and this kind of movie could not be his forte. The songs, in its individualism, would make a great album. Not wiht this movie.
The director is pathetically missing the services of AR Rahman. Even in the movie like 'Boys', where the story was not too pithy, the music enlifted the movie's grace and reach. But not with 'Anniyan'.
The music is at times really murky and left behind. Harris could have done well to concentrate on the re-recording part of it. In a movie like 'Kakka Kakka', he gave great background music by deliberately striking a crescendo.
One could just wonder why Shankar, an experienced director, let this end loose. Personally, I feel Harris Jeyaraj is not jelling with this movie. If the dates were the only problem of clash with AR Rahman, Shankar could have looked for a person like Yuvan Shankar Raja or even Ilayaraja as they have dealed with a weighty subject like this before, more than once.
ANNIYAN is nothing short of extraordinary, hats of to shankhar, hes the spielberg of south india .keep it up man. vikram gives a mind blowing performance.
Anniyan was really good. But your comments on Boys was totally unwarranted. Boys is in the elite list of his films. He gave the secret of success formula through that film. What else you need to succeed in life. Please dont talk bad about Boys.
