the poetic essence of this movie makes it beautiful... Vidya Balan is beatiful and Good... but i would like to put my bet on Saif Ali Khan, the second most provoking reason to watch after Vidya being the first. Watch this movie for Saif's metamorphosis as an actor.

About Parineeta

Some thoughts about this film review. - without prejudice

Firstly, may I enquire as to the formal education of the author of the review and type of social upbringing that was subjected to this individual who obviouslys displays a certain lack of ability to judge both what is good and what is bad.

Might I remind the readers of this message that during the ending sequences of the film, one cannot help but imaging the director lifting his inspiration for the DRAMATIC and subtly disturbing sequence of wall breaking as being remarkably similar yet in no way whatsoever comparable to the bringing down of the berlin wall.

How is it possible that a fountain be uprooted and used to break through a foot thick wall. Indian contruction is not great, but come on...this is laughable.

Secondly, I would not only not want to watch this film again, I would gladly fund an organisation to personally chase the film director aroud the streets of Jilander with a fountain receiting lines \"Thora Shekar...THORA SHEKAR...THORA SHEKARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR\"

Thank you.

I just hope Saif bags the awards this time and Vidya Balan too.Its a truly wonderful movie, though, like others have mentioned here, the ending was a bit overdramati!

i agree about the film, its a must watch and very well made. The director, actors and everyone else's job is commendable. I also liked that there was no overt attempt to make it a BENGALI film like the horribly delivered dialogues in Devdas! The songs, most of them are amazing, the lyricist rocks!
You can do only so much to make Sanjay Dutt seem bengali, no one's to blame for that! But why the hell does the film start with a Punjabi wedding song!! At least the punjabi lyrics and dialogues in the background of the song could have been avoided.
All said and done, its a nice film with a terribly funny end!! The director went a little overboard..allright ..who am i kidding, he went way too much over the board!!

A thrilling movie indeed. Breathtaking performances by Saif & Vidya. The climax proves 2 be overdramatic and weak.

Great and Simple work, nothin jazzy. Shows the simplicity of Aradhna and other movies of that era.
