Great work Vivek
by Raj on Jan 06, 2005 12:24 AM

Vivek Oberio is not only a good actor but a great human being too. He is a real life hero. A lot of people donated their contributions through different means, but going to the affected area and helping people personally is something outstanding and inspiring. On behalf of all my friends from United Kingdom, I wish Vivek a great future and lots of success. Keep it up bro....

That's really great of you, Mr. Oberoi!!
by Rhituparna Goswami on Jan 06, 2005 12:18 AM

Thank God, you are not one of our (Indian) cricketers!!

God bless you and your family.

May your own wishes come true too...

I just love your (carefully maintained!!) casual looks and your reel persona but now, I respect you as a human being too.

Best wishes,

Rhitu.

Vivek's Efforts for Tsunami Victims
by Nazir Patel on Jan 05, 2005 11:36 PM

Vivek has done a noble thing. His efforts of actually going to the ravaged place and doing something to help the victims should be an example to

many others in Bollywood.

Inspiring
by Jagdish Lakshminarayanan on Jan 05, 2005 11:34 PM

It is truly inspiring of Mr Vivek Oberoi to take his time off to help the victims by offering to reconstruct their villages and restore normalcy .I think other actors should take a cue from what Mr.Vivek did and apart from just raising money from the much publicised charity shows, they should spend more of their time with the villagers as they have demonstrated their strong integrity and pride by refusing the "indifferent" food packets thrown at them .What the people need right now is a display of actual empathy to their concerns followed by material help to which Mr.Vivek has set an apt example

Where are the other actors now
by Anil Sedha on Jan 05, 2005 11:21 PM

Though i found Vivek's action to be a publicity stunt when he started this, i do believe that his final outcome was more of an act of kindness by what he might have seen and got moved by.

I am dissapointed, that other filmstarts including Tamil & Telugu actors apart from Bollywood, do not seem to be around doing much. Least these multi-millionaires can do, is send 3-4 truckloads worth of food stocks to villages and accompany them, to ensure that it reaches people directly.

At this juncture, food and water is the most essential commodity for those affected.

May God bless India !!

Well done
by sunil nair on Jan 05, 2005 11:18 PM

hi
its great to hear and read about the silver screen heroes do heroics and great work like helping tsunami hit people to rehabilite themselves, i personally belive and wish that of our 20% of our population which are wealthier and powerful could adopt each effected village and contribute to thier rehabilitation then we could really come trough from this disaster without any external help, i know its easy to say but this nation demands something from you and its time to deliver......i am not one of that 20% but i wish to take part....i really admire and salute vivek for wht he is done and doing and he is truly the hero.......may be you set an examble for others to follow keep going.....
