the only film that calls for an award is PARINEETA
.i am surprised how the jury could ever forget that the dirction, the acting, the ambience , attention to detail is superb. SRK has no freshness left he is the same in all films.... same expressions...... same mannerisms, he is vain and comes across as very egoistical. i THINK THERE AREOTHER MORE DESERVING MORE SUBTLE ACTORS WHO ARE BEING IGNORED.

I completely disagree with you,Parineeta had nothing but the same usual typical Bollywood love triangle,only it was based on novel.But just that is not sufficient.And SRK's acting look how he got the differece bet. the 2 characters in Paheli,if you don't like that it's your problem.Paheli is way better than Parineeta.
In my personal opinion though all three mvies are brilliantly made there basic purpose is different. Veer-Zaara is out-n-out commercial movie, Paheli a folk tale converted and Black an emotional one. Though we should be content with the response of viewers without bothering too much about the international awards, still if we do then we should chose movies which even international viewers and judges can relate to. On that front, Black has a plot with which people of any caste, creed, religion, morals can relate to. And since it is brilliantly made with no visible flaws, it stands a positive chance towards winning Golden Globe. Lets see.

No doubt Black deserve to be there,it is one of its own kind movie and I think first time in Indian cinema any movie has get to reach HIGH LEVEL of performance and direction.
Veer-Zara..not a bad movie.good to watch but nomination come to me as a surprise.I would never select it but would think on it once.But whom am I to do or think
Paheli,there is only twopossibilities.Either I didn't understand the abstarct of the movies or its a fraud selection.One one side I would say I just couldn't get the film but if some one say its justabove the level of our mind than I wouldn't deny.
Black does, simply for the fact that it has been made with an EYE on good cinema and it makes everyone feel the difficulties a blind person has to face, be it from family, friends or strangers.
The movies like Black are made one in many years. Movies like Black fit in both the type of Cinema viz the Parallel and Commercial. It takes guts to make movies like Back. Paheli was a wonderful narration of a Rajsthani folklore. The move toed the line of typical folklore i.e. defying the common logic or rationale. This is the reason why audiance did not recieve it well. As far as comparision is concern definitly Black is many steps ahead of the rest of the movies. It definitly establishese the compatance of Indian movie director over delivering something different that the Hip Hop kinda movies. And hennce black stands far better chances for any international award than any other contesting Indian movies.
