really it is not up to expactation, if it was not of a AAMIR's movie after 4 year, then it wash out at box office, thanks to aamir at least movie recover it's cost(may). but i appericiate effort of AAMIR"s and team, because they try some different.
The controversies that are coming in the way of the film are just ridiculous... It's just a stuntto make the film a flop... But no one can stop a good film to run..Mangal Pandey has the right sentiments shown and it just sparkels on the screen.. The seconf half shown is simply outstanding!!!! I have personally seen this movie and the people how they react to the movie..Everybody is silent watching and nobody dares to leave their seat...till the end. What u can hear only is applauds applauds and applauds for the film , actors and performances.. Aamir has been always and is simply marvelous in this film too... He should land up with an award this year which he deeply desrves...Best luck!!!!
we can more then relate wth our history.it wud be wrng to say tht youngsters cant relate to uprising. I think its a wonderful movie and have been shot beautifully. Good cinema which is very honest. you cannot compare it with lagaan.Being a historic and biographic film its marvellous.
I dont understand why u people are against this film .initialy you wrote about that shamefull book by some Indian , who's having no rights to be an Indian. now you guys are saying that movie is going to be a flop . go and check out www.indiafm.com . top film and a hit film is none other - it's our proud Mangal Pandey.
As correctly pointed out other readers, mangal pandey has performed very well in overseas as well in India. High expectation set for Aamir's movie couldnot be avoided and hence u can see reflection in collections. Money-wise it is already a hit.
the movie will not run. Mangal pandey cannot run because the screenplay is not intact...Rising is the tagline...the director and writer have to rise the screenplay instead the film gets bollywood songs, and so many loose plots that the film may not do well,,,in fact if this movie would not have been realesed at time of indipendence day i doubts weather it would even had run further...
