It's not fair to compare Shahrukh and Aamir. There are some roles that Aamir would've played more accurate to the inviduals own taste, while there would be some roles that Shahrukh wouldve played more accurate. Keep in mind I say more 'accurate' and not better. There is usually not anything wrong with the actor, but rather the role itself or the plot, story places etc... So basically the producers, directors and storytellers are the ones to blame - if supposedly the movie was not a blockbuster. Remember, people have different tastes in what is supposed to be "good" and "bad" acting. So of course no matter how hard each of them had played a Devdas role - there would still be some people that would not have liked it and critisized it. The fact that Aamir says he would have played the role of Devdas different - only says that he thinks Sanjay L.B's choice of the Devdas character in the movie was something he would have reconsidered in overall. He says absolutely nothing critisizing about Shahrukh. So Shahrukhs fans have nothing to worry about. Besides - a man like Aamir who literally grew up in the movie business knows what he is talking about when he claims something.
I have never seen Shahrukh doing a Lagaan character not I saw him in a typical tapori role. I agree, Shahrukh Khan tried different roles in earlier films like Darr and Anjaam, but since Dil To Paagal Hai he has been doing the same kind of role in every film. Same expression, body language and dialougue deliveries. So as fas as acting is concerned Aamir is way better than Shahrukh
listen mate u sd get ur fact right yeah cause as far as comparison is concerned aamir is way better than shahrukh and please dnt even give me the hits status and all that. you lot talk a lot about hollywood right? so let me explain it in hollywood terms so tell me is tom cruise a better actor than johny depp? dnt think so
Aamir Never Said that Devdas is Bad. Infact he did appreciate that Devdas was well made. But when Asked by shekar as to "how U wud do the character", he said " I wud have done it differently". And I am positive, that is Devdas was Aamir, that wud have been different. He is the only Best in Bollywood.
why the people are not concerned about their own work. such small issues real get into big trouble if are not sorted out. let the staRs hve their own personal lives with noone pocking their nose around.
I can't understand why people are making such a big fuss about one comment of a person...Ok i accept that this is no ordinary person, He is the great AAMIR KHAN!!What Aamir just said was that he would have done that performance differently....so whats wrong in that?? Ofcourse he would have as they are two differnet personalities and different types of actors (Shahrukh..I'm taking your hamming as acting here!!!)Aamir had said the same earlier too when he was asked about SRK's performance in 'Darr'. There is no denying the fact that SRK is a fine entertainer and a crowd-puller, though AAMIR is and will always remain a better actor than SRK. ..All those people who say that SRK is a saint should read more and think again as he is the one who is ultra-arrogant and has commented on everybody in the industry including Aamir. He likes to mock anyone and has made fun of Aamir many times but also has said that maybe in some years he would be also considered a 'good actor' like Aamir.So guys, let both of them do their stuff;continue watching good cinema, and post-Swadesh, SRK can also be counted in delivering that.....and whereas DEVDAS is concerned, it was not a great movie anyways...
I completely agree with Aamir. Shahrukh hammed till it hurt in Devdas. But that's not unusual for someone who has been at it for a good 15 years. Aamir of course would have made a delightful detour as he has done several times before. Comparing the two actors is sacrilege since Aamir is an actor who invokes passion in whatever he does while Shahrukh plays to the gallery. Swades is actually the only film where he brought some life to the persona
