"Rakht stars Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty and Dino Morea, with Bipasha Basu leading the bevy of beauties -- Amrita Arora, Neha Dhupia." ... From what I gather Bipasha seems to be the main protagonist yet the way the reviewer has worded this sentence, it seems that when naming the stars it is appropriate to name the men and then if one feels like it throw in the names of the women artists as extras. When we speak of the english version 'The Gift' we say 'starring Kate Blanchett...' and then the other names are listed. I can see the revier is a woman, yet she deems it fit to down play her own kind.
Ya Good movie. Worth giving a try. I dont know if itz a copy from a Hollywood flick Ya but itz good. The actors hae done a good job. Also Mahesh Manjrekar hs directed well(better than his previous movies like Jis Desh Mein.. )
rakht looks more like a movie of the 70's!!everything is so 70's!! though the movie is a remake of the english movie!!yes the movie is scary in parts{the guy sitting next to me was closing his ears because of the sound effects!!that was really funny}its an entertaining movie, good performances, bipasha has got the perfect bollywood heroine's role!!the songs are also good!all in all an entertaining movie!!
Editor could have summed up the review if this movie by saying it is a copy frame by frame of the Hollywood 'The Gift'. As I was reading the review, I thought I was watching the 'GIFT'
