More painful is to read the review !!
by Supriyo M on Dec 08, 2004 08:28 PM

When something can be read without effort, great effort has gone into its writing. - Enrique Jardiel Poncela

I hope the reviewer ( Mr. Raja Sen) appreciates the quote made by the famous Spanish novelist.

I agree that it's pain to watch the movie, but more painful was to read the review.

More like a painful review!

I haven't read a more one-sided review in ages. Give credit where it's due. As someone who spends a lot of time watching movies, it is highly inconceivable to find this film not funny. I wonder if your review reflects what the great majority felt when watching the film in a packed cinema. This was a thoroughly enjoyable film. Except for a couple of songs. I would rather watch the film over and over again than have the painful misfortune of reading a review such as this.

just read the first paragraph of review:

"Not by provoking profound ruminations on life, the universe, and, as Doug would say, everything, but rather crucially and sardonically poking a more personal, self-addressed question: how awfully can I possibly have sinned in order to have to sit through this painful, mercilessly raucous drivel? It's near impossible to justify this cinematic rusty guillotining of your neck, but then we have to keep things in perspective (and ourselves reassuringly consoled), so I'd urge you to ponder instead upon the dismal fortunes of the cast who are actually a part of this venture."

I am sure, all other remaining lines are similar to above. What writter wants to say?

Stop reviewing

Hi Mr Raja Sen,
I wonder where r u hinding these days. Reading that one gets the impression that Hulchul is the biggest flop of the year. Akshay Khanna - tragic casuality???
The movie is hilarious n Akshay is one of the star performers in it along with Paresh Rawal& Arshad Warsi. Reading ur reveiw, One wonders if u actually watched the movie or not. Didnt u even get a hint from the audience reaction?? Rediff reviewer must be more correct with their reviews. Millions of ppl all over the world read it and decide whether to watch or not. U cant pan a good movie just like that. I wonder if there's a conspiracy angle to this...

Hulchul is the best film of 2004
by Arun Jain on Dec 05, 2004 09:37 AM

I think the best entertainer of the year is "HULCHUL" after "MUNNABHAI MBBS" last year. Priyadarshan is the no. 1 director in India (He has huge of fans in both north as well as south.
