The only film in which he gave good music(and that was really fantastic)was a film called Phir Teri Kahaani Yaad Ayaa(Rahul Roy,Pooja Bhatt)...released several years back. The film bombed, but the music I feel was really good. The rest is upto the people...

The foot is where the mouth is...

I did find Mr.Malik's comment about copying music a little bit funny. Made me say "look whos talking!" myself. Neither do I agree with him saying that Chitra is equivalent of Lata/Asha. In Hindi music, no way! Although I admire Chitra for her vocal range, her pronounciation leaves a lot to be desired. The music of MPKDH is no way up to the mark (maybe it was a case of spontaniety taken too far) and Asoka went out of sync with the movie. Anu Malik has composed some lovely music for Aks, Yaadein, Border which were to the best of my knowlege very original scores. If only he stops feeling jealous and concentrates a little more on his work, he just might make it to where Rehman is now. Happy trying Mr. Malik!

Look Who's Talking

Ha! Ha! Ha!

Anu Malik talking about originality! Mr. Malik, please prove yourself as a recognised and original music director in India, before moving on to the western world. BTW, is Chamma Chamma! really your original score or is it also inspired by something!

Better stop commenting on other music directors and start working your grey cells. Atleast you can create some original scores then.

Who is original?
by Amit on Jun 03, 2003 04:30 PM

Though everybody agrees that Anu Malik is master of copying, the fact that he has given some great music can not be denied... can it be? Besides, which Music Director can be called truly 'original'?
