All people of our country should watch this movie atleast once in their life. They should imagine the character played by all actors in the movie as if they are really our brave soldiers in front of us, who fought in the way as shown in the movie and should keep in mind that how they struggled for our tomorrow
This movie isn't as bad as a few people in this board criticize it to be. It was a well made movie. I do agree that it could lose some songs, or atleast shorten them... and i could go on and pick on other small INSIGNIFICANT details like the bad language and that one scene when a soldier yells out "I love you Kiran!" as he collapses and dies. But that's really too much criticism. The technical aspects, the ACTING, and the background score were all absolutely amazing. About the locations, they were all shot around where the war actually took place, so whether you liked the scenery or not, it really doesnt matter. What Dutta tried to do with this movie is pay tribute to the soldiers and show history as close as possible to what really happened. And he does it well enough. The thing about this movie is that you have to watch it with the right insight: if you go in looking for a magical bollywood kal ho na ho or a tech-savvy hollywood matrix, you will not get what you expect. What you will get is reality, right in your face. And yes, he could have made a documentary instead of a movie, but let's face it, how many of us would have actually gone and watched it? My overall rating:7 out 10
Nothing great about the movie. Its just been hyped up.. Our soldiers deserve much better.. I would rate Border much better than this. There was seriousness, passion and movie looked realistic. This movie does not look like that. It was a good effort in doing so...
We as Indians need to wake up and smell the coffee....and I agree with Arnab fully. The story could have been told much more effectively. Minus the jingoism it would have had the class of Saving Private Ryan. Jingoism, maa behen ki gaali, dozens of heroes n heroines all potrayed with equal footage has ruined what could have been a classic.
Yo people who are making comments of the film should really shut up. JP Dutta made a great film, and it shows us what the soldiers did during those hard days. I can't believe you indian people, if any people were to hate it, it was to be those pakistani people. And if people who are making it, lets see if you guys can do better than JP Dutta. Come on people, Dutta put alot of effort into it, and you guys are giving the film a bad review. Who cares if the action is repetitive, doesn't the other movies have repetitive actions. Y make fun of this film, make fun of the other films this year like Kal Ho Na Ho (SRK acting sucked in the film). Bottom line, if you indian people don't like it, then i'm sorry to say, but change your nationality.
Hi friends I have just seen LOC THE LINE OF CONTROL.It is one of the best & biggest war movies ever made in india.Kudos to jp dutta for making so realistic & true to life blockbuster.I have seen all the messages regarding the movie. If you are a true indian then I request you all to appreciate jp duttas fantastic effort for showing us what goes on near LOC & how hard our army fight day & night to save our lives by giving theirs in those very difficult places like dras & other sectors.Instead of being so rude towards a worthy effort just salute the people behind this well made movie. You just go & spend lots of money in stupid movies like one ones made by johars, chopras, adityas & bansalis who just make you fool by showing us stupid things which can never be done by any wise person in real but jp dutta has shown us what our army do for us for which we should ever be grateful to them and we can only pay them back by seeing movies of the stature of LOC & salute any war movie which is made in india. The other directors like the one I mentiones above are making all the indian people fool & just making lots of money in the name of passion & good cinema butjp's LOC is a class act.Bravo.
