I would like to draw attention of Mr. Mujumdar to Keral which has had similiar clout of communists. At one stage,it was impossible to imagine that it could have any industry, good transport and roads and bandhs were as rampant as in Bengal. Things have changed quite drastically. Since there is a change in government every five years there some credit could be given to congress. However not opposing many good things even done by opposition government must also be lauded. These days, I heard that bandhs in Kerala are not as frequent and are on pre-determined days with good notice so that the public life is not affected much as on flash strikes. Be it right or wrong reason, it is always minority holding majority at ransom!

During 1960-1980 labour strikes by Communists forced industrialists to shut their factories in West Bengal. Industries relocated in Maharashtra there after, but irrational demands and strikes by Communists and Datta Samant compalled industrialists to close their units. Textile Mills, Chemical and engineering industries collapsed due to strike or the owners shifted to.other states. Ultimately lacs of labourers were/are jobless. They even did not get their dues. This is the story of organisex. There is no leader to look after problems faced by workers in unorganised sector.

It is known that some paid employees are spreading canards against wise people to gain political mileage. However, true colors are known when Neerav and Chowksi are caught.

How the Communists killed Bengal's industry

What we saw and had to undergo a political phase in west Bengal for four decades in the name of socialism was Agitation and agitation. In the name of "cholche na cholbe na"factories were closed and never reopened. Inclub zindabad slogan was totally misused by so called Communist.
Later in same factories two police guard sat on main gate and all the costly machinery and parts including the shades were sold to scrap dealers at what price we will never know.Poor middle class and lower castes who thought themselves as Comrades were badly cheated by their top leaders.
The state will never rise from this syndrome until some miracle happens.

Communist should be booted out for good

Communist should be booted out for good, they have done the same in Kerala. Kerala only survives on foreign remittances.
